The SPA in Reno
claudio_carvalho15 December 2023
Sara, Finn and Morgan are happy since they will have a weekend off. Morgan invites her friends to go with her to Reno, since she has a suite at a SPA and they go in Finn's car. However, the water pump breaks down on the road and the mechanic Darryl Walsh tells them that he will replace it only on the next day. He gives a ride to them to Larkston, where they stay in a motel and go to a karaoke bar. Finn dances with Darryl and leaves the bar with him. They make out and she finds that he is married; then Finn rejects him. But Darryl tries to rape Finn forcing with a knife, but she subdues, takes his knife and stabs him. She runs to the bar and tells her friends what happened. When they arrive, Darryl's body is missing and they process the location. Sheriff Owen Gardner arrives and believes they are tampering the scene. Finn is arrested, but Sara and Morgan continue the investigation. Soon they find that Darryl has a hydroponic marijuana plantation, with a chop-chop of cars in a barn and a mummified body inside the hood of a car. Now Finn is released to help the investigation.

"Girls Gone Wild" is one of the best of the last episodes of "CSI". The first point is the amazing voice of Elisabeth Harnois (Morgan Brody) singing "Piece of My Heart" by Janis Joplin. In addition to her beauty, this actress shows an impressive singing voice in the karaoke scene. The non-linear screenplay is also very well-written, with a great story. The easy Julie "Finn" Finley has a hard time in this show with her promiscuous behavior. My vote is eight.

Bad Spa Day
Hitchcoc31 March 2021
When the lab women get together for a girls' weekend out, they encounter a lot of trouble. They have car trouble and then more trouble when they put too much trust in the mechanic who helped them. He tries to rape Finn but she fights back and ends up stabbing him. This leads to distrust by local law enforcement and her temporary incarceration. But there is a big discovery made as Sara and Morgan investigate. It turns out this guy isn't new to attacking women, but there is even more than that.

Hollywood shows us the way

Warning: Spoilers
I'm so glad hollywood can show the world how backward all hicktown sheriffs are. Seriously, this idea is so cliched. Big city folks roll into town...some crime occurs...the local sheriff assumes the big city folks are responsible...they arrest the big city folks...they hinder the investigation...they act like total jackwads...

I'm sure you get the picture.

Is this really how people act in small towns? Because if it is, no one should ever drive outside the city. But I suspect it's more the weirdo perspective that hollywood wants us to have.

It's actually a pretty good episode except for the horrendous small town bashing with cliched stereotypes of evil sheriffs. I liked the ending. I wish they could have skipped the jackwad smalltown evil sheriff crap, because the ending with the three CSI women bonding was nice, and made me want to see more of that. This series has so little character development as it is, it's nice to see some of that now and again.
