Secrecy rules?
mb-15518 December 2020
Unlike others which appear to want reactionary, wall to wall, not predictable but perhaps very violent off the cuff violence the-whole-time I do not think I have seen a better episode of ANY programme than this one - dealing with secrets.

I have to admit here might be better future episodes. We are getting through them fast. Secrets are one of the MAIN points of these programmes. Can you imaging let's say Clark Kent going round bragging about being an alien the whole time. So boring, yawnsville.

I think Laural Lance (Cassidy) takes the biscuit here, her dialogues with all the "good" protagonists. Again, you just cannot beat it, and her dad Paul Blackthorne as Quentin Lance is amazing. There remains this desperate desire, against all the odds, to keep things secret. I love it!

Another example of what might seem minor detail is even the music is great. Though not as totally engaging as Smallville an Arrow example are the little scenes alluding to The Flash, light, and quick on you feet you could say. This is totally opposite to the very mechanical automaton music in the Scientist episode for Brother Cyrus where it is affective when compared to The Flash music in the same episode.

A Flash of What's to Come
SpideyVerse2319 January 2023
Warning: Spoilers
After the events of last episode, she pieces things together to make sure Slade was telling the truth about who her Oliver really is. Meanwhile, Quentin seems ready to go to jail for the Arrow since he believes in what Arrow stands for. I like how far Quentin has come from Season 1.

Team Arrow (I am calling them that since its many people to name repeatedly) tries to slow down Slade from trying to obtain the things required to mass produce the Mirakuru serum. He even breaks into their base to steal an item which will help him carry out his tasks easily. We also get a cameo from Cisco and Caitlin, main characters on the Flash spinoff show, during Slade's robberies.

Thea is in a really bad place now after she found out about her parentage and is angry with both Oliver and Moira for hiding it from her.

SLADE AND IVO PROBLEM
esalidog2 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
It's hard to understand why Slade tries to screw up Oliver's life because of choosing Sara over the Asian woman, and yet he leaves Ivo so alone alive on the island when it was Ivo who shot her in the head. ... the truth is that I don't know if they did it wantingly or not, but Slade aka Deathstroke couldn't be more of an idiot , no sense at all...

So predictable Warning: Spoilers
So Ollie needs to desperately talk Thea into signing the document. Thea agrees to meet him, and just as Ollie is about to plead his case, his cell phone rings. And like all good americans, he simply MUST answer it. Can't let a cell phone go unanswered, right? Absolutely not, cell phones rule! Well, it's Felicity with bad news about a criminal activity in progress, and urges him not to respond. Then she says something to effect that she knows how important Ollie's meeting with Thea is, about the document. Well, if Felicity KNEW how important Ollie's meeting is, why the h*ll did she call him? Naturally when Ollie turns around, Thea is gone.

And the soap opera continues.
