I never really like episodes of any series that introduce new story-lines and I've not especially liked the last couple of episodes here. This is the best episode since Storyville (episode 16) and ties together newly introduced story-lines. We were shown sides of characters we had not previously seen which added depth to everyone. I'm very glad to see that the writers appear to have stepped back from a love-triangle story line. And... Michael is possibly coming back! He had a few scenes which were great. There was an excellent flashback of Klaus and Marcel which gave the audience both insight into their complex relationship and a glimpse of conflict yet ahead. All the factions, including the fledgling witches, are causing trouble for The Original siblings and their inner circle.

Kieran's Funeral and Klaus's Nursery

Klaus has a nightmare in which Father Kieran's funeral takes place. He opens the coffin to find the cutest baby cooing. Then his father Mikael stabs him and scoffs at the idea of Klaus becoming a father. Klaus wakes up in bed, sweating.
Kieran's actual funeral takes place. Cami is grieving and angry when she finds out Marcel made sure to get the key around her uncle's neck before she did. He says it is to protect her.
During the walk to the burial site on the streets of New Orleans in a big crowded procession, Hayley starts coughing up blood. Elijah, Klaus and Genevieve get to work in saving her. Genevieve uses her powers to intervene and finds out that it was Monique behind the spell. Later Genevieve scolds Monique for trying to kill the fetus when they are supposed to wait until it is born.
Hayley agrees to stay at the compound out of her own free will. She asks Klaus what he will do about her after the baby is born. Klaus shows her the room to a cute nursery. He says their daughter should have their parents raise her - he will not be like his father. Klaus asks Hayley what his father said to her and she replies nothing that was true. Elijah stops by and Hayley and him share a kiss. He swiftly leaves after a few seconds.
