I liked Alan Thicke a lot (RIP Alan Thicke, Canadian TV legend who died too young!)... but this show was not very good. Alan Thicke is always fun to watch but his sons (or actors playing his sons) were terrible and his wife was just playing the role of eye candy. The show was completely fake from the word go and even though it was scripted it still was not funny because of the bad writing and poor performances by all. It's too bad this is one of the last things Thicke did.

In Canada we really do love Alan Thicke, he is a great guy. Sometimes even funny. He has a beautiful wife and some really great boys too. His new reality show is suppose to be life in the Thicke home. However it's very much a scripted reality show. I guess there are some parts that are funny but watching the episode where Carter throws a party killed it for me. The "drunk guy" John was probably the worst actor I've seen. Not just at the party but the bus ride and the morning after. He made the show seem like a complete joke. Nothing funny about some weird guy that just shows up at a 16 year olds party and ends up sleeping in the backyard in his tighty whiteys. It was a terribly scripted show that cleared my decision on whether I would ever watch it again. Nope!!
