In episode 13 "Things Unsaid" drama starts to roll back into the show. First off, Brandon now has a restraining order against him so he doesn't mess things up for Callie; at Rita's "Girls United" Callie, despite the restraining order, still communicates with Brandon, and then Cole gets involved; but, perhaps the biggest jolt, is Marianna getting snitched on by Kelsey.

Topic 1: Someone in My Corner - Callie

As Callie deals with the repercussion for her hug with Brandon, she finds herself leaning on him even more despite the consequences. For while Daphne tries to make her and Callie even, Callie really doesn't have any close ties to anyone in the home, and with Brandon being the only one actively trying to mentally support her, she can't help but try to get to him whatever way she can. Thing is about that, as aforementioned, there is a restraining order in place, and that incident with Brandon almost got Callie kicked out. So now all the girls, and Cole, are trying to help Callie stay, but with Cole things seem a bit odd.

The reason I say that is because Callie sticks up for Cole after there is an incident on a field trip about Cole wanting to use the male's bathroom. With this, I believe, Cole begins developing a crush on Callie I think, and I say this because he goes beyond trying to keep her from getting in trouble by stopping her from sneaking text messages to Brandon. He decides to take it upon himself and try to scare Brandon off by texting that she, as in Callie, is done with him with the most creepy smile I've seen outside of a horror movie.

But, while Callie deals with creepy Cole, Jude is back together with best friend Collin. Unfortunately though, not a lot happens between the two, but what is revealed in Jude's storyline is the fact he is hoarding food. Why you ask? Well, due to his past experiences in homes, especially after Callie did something, he is hoarding in case Lena and Stef would run out of, or withhold, food from him. Leading to Lena having another heart to heart with him and reassuring him that he is fine. Which is something Stef tries to do with Callie, after saying tough love is what Callie needs, until she sees a kid who is in Callie's situation. But with Rita not allowing unannounced visits, her support for Callie doesn't get to her, though Callie does see her truck drive away.

Topic 2: Backstabber - Marianna

With Marianna getting so much attention from Chase, Kelsey gets jealous, and a boy who I don't think is Zach, but may have a crush on Marianna maybe, also is jealous. But, while not Zach tries to impress Marianna with his skills at fixing things, Kelsey is dangling her blackmail material over Marianna's head. For, as we know, Kelsey likes Chase and doesn't appreciate Marianna and Chase flirting with one another so, to keep the peace, Marianna says for the sake of their friendship, no boy will come between them. Thing is, all Kelsey wanted was for Marianna to back down, not for Chase to no longer be something she couldn't have. So, as soon as Marianna backs down, Kelsey runs in, but karma makes it so Marianna ends up getting some alone time with Chase in which they do lines from the play. During this, Chase kisses Marianna and, naturally, Zach and Kelsey sees this and it leads to Kelsey snitching to the point Marianna is not only kicked off the play, but now Stef & Lena thinks she steals, and Marianna has to deal with being suspended.

Topic 3: Lena's Worries

But, despite Marianna's situation, and Jude's, that isn't the only thing Lena has to worry about. With Stef back to work, after getting shot, Lena is on edge all day, and she stupidly confides in a teacher who ends up making things worse. Making it seem, despite her marriage vows, Lena is really not as supportive as she may want to be when it comes to Stef's job.

Outside of Stef though, another issues is Jesus. As Jesus gets accustomed to wrestling, and his new exercising and diet plan, he gets closer to Emma who seems like the temporary replacement for Lexi, in terms of showing him interact with someone outside his household. The two hit it off while running, and then in practice she seems to root for him. But, when Jesus goes through the tunnel of love, and gets punched out, Lena, upon seeing Jesus' black eye, is ready to fire the coach over the initiation ritual, leading to quite a bit of embarrassment.

Overall

Despite it not being listed as a topic, I must say that Mike is starting to grow on me, and is helping me give a damn about Brandon again. For with Brandon now quitting piano, and seemingly drunk in love with Callie, he is becoming a liability. Which I find increasingly strange sense, at one time, Brandon was the most well-adjusted of them all. I mean, the twins have their mother, and other issues; Callie and Jude have their past, present, and Jude's possible homosexuality; Lena and Stef have their jobs and relationship; Mike has his alcoholism; and poor Brandon is nothing but a teenager who looks more strung out than Becca may have at her worst. And, what's worse is the fact you don't understand why he is gripping so hard onto the idea of Callie, much less why he is slowing becoming consumed by the idea of them together. I mean, I personally feel there needs to be some conversation about this, because him trying to save her, at this point, really does not feel like enough to justify all of his actions.
