You will never find out. Nor will you find a satisfactory closure to the chain of events that seem to spin out of control with no rhyme or reason. I was throughly disappointed. Yes, it held my attention because I was waiting for a spectacular ending that pulled the plot together but that didn't happen. I can appreciate the idea behind the film however it failed to materialize in the final cut.

Looks like all the friends and family members rated this movie 10 out of 1. The story is extremely dumb, chaotic the best. Not sure the director,writer or the actor/actresses are worse. I gave 1 star because there was no 0 or minus numbers.

I've never written a review here before but I felt compelled to do my part to make sure nobody has to waste 90 minutes of their life like I did. Writing was brutal and I've never seen worse acting than M.J. Brackin's...ever.

I watch alot of movies but this one, honestly!! This is one of the worst if not the worst movies I have ever watched. No one ever calls for emergency medical services. Man has a heart attack in the back seat because the driver never thinks of taking him to a hospital? When a gal shoots and kills her lover by accident, she sits in the floor next to him, pulls his cigarettes out and lights one up? Two gals are kidnapped but get away - they never report the kidnapping to anyone, simply get a flat tire and walk home?

WHAT! THE WORST??!!

Silliness for an hour and a half

Watching this film, I couldn't help but feel that it seems to reflect the idea of America that the outside world has - everyone in the USA quite willing and happy to shoot each other without fear or even thought of consequences.

So perhaps that view of Americans is fairly true then. Which is very worrying to the rest of us.

The acting went from average to dismal. The characters were bog standard. The plot was silly. The dialogue was silly. The music wasn't bad, but not something I would voluntarily give up 90 minutes of my life for.

I want that time back.

Give me my 90 back. Who green lit this? Horrible acting. Weight loss drug pills? How much money is in that? $60 a bottle?! So the guy gets fired off the lethal weapon show and this is what he ends up doing? And the weight loss girl up and becomes a serial killer for a few thousand bucks. THUMBS DOWN SHOWTIME

Pleasant Movie

I thought this was a pleasant movie to watch. I enjoyed the scenery and the music. The plot line was good. I thought Clayne Crawford did a good job.

Waste of time

Nothing thriller in this film. Murders are like having snacks and nothing series at all. Clayne Crawford's acting is great when he shot by his ex-wife. That is the only scene I admire in this film.

Utter bad one

I made an IMDB account just to rate this movie. It was one of the worst films I have ever seen. The other reviews must have been friends and family or paid for. The acting was cliched and poorly executed, not that they had much to work with from the script. The whole plot was awful and made no sense. None of the characters reacted to events in any remotely plausible way. The ending left much to be desired.

I could go on, but please save your time and sanity and skip this one.

What's with the rating these days?

If you're tired of blockbuster superhero nonsense, this is a good story. It moves along nicely, and the cinematography is very good. I don't get the negative comments because it held my attention.

This is one of the worst movies ever made. The script writer and producer should be sued for insulting the intelligence of movie watchers with this utter piece of garbage. The holes in the story are far too many to bother elaborating on. The ending leaves nothing resolved. The acting is embarrassing.

Worst movie I have ever seen. I was so surprised to see that it was made in 2017 because it was worse than a 1970s made-for-tv movie. Bad script. Bad acting. Ridiculous. There are NO redeeming qualities. Don't wast your time. I did. And I will never get those 91 minutes back. Pure waste of time. I would have been more entertained by watching my grass grow for an hour-and-a-half.

Horrible acting, ridiculous plot...I was a Clayne Crawford fan but might need to rethink that after watching this stupid movie. Ugh...91 minutes of torture...I kept hoping it would get better somehow but it literally got worse as the movie continued and I didn't think that was possible. I have never written a review before but this waste of time made me mad. Unbelievably bad! Don't waste your time!...do literally anything else but watch this...watching paint dry or water boil is more enjoyable.

Don't waste your time with this movie like I and others have, I never have wrote a review on anything because I haven't felt the need but with this freaking movie omgggg I just had to review it and let you know it's soo bad and the ending is so stupid in the middle I felt like I wanted turn it off because it's such bad acting so spare yourself! Amateurish

Above Ground is an amateurish, clumsy film in the vein of Blood Simple----minus the intelligence. The characters are backwoods idiots, everything that can go wrong does, and nobody trusts anybody.

The dialogue, characterization, acting, and story are all substandard. Illogical events and plot holes are abundant.

But perversely, sometimes I'm in the mood for a brainless, bad movie. The critical side of me picks it apart disdainfully, but at least there's a story to follow, no matter how stupid.

Two stars, recommended for a "bad movie" experience.
