- Brian dies, but is brought back 2 episodes later when Stewie rebuilds his time machine. Seth Macfarlane stated that he did this to teach people the lesson that the people you take for granted could be gone in a flash.
- Brian gets hit by a car, and dies from his injuries at the vet while surrounded by the Griffins, as they tearfully say their goodbyes. Arguably the saddest moment of the entire series.
