Funnier Than It Was Meant To Be

Once you overlook the cheesy dialogue and not so great CGI, Grimm is actually pretty entertaining. Some characters are better than others, like Monroe and Rosalee, while others are insufferable (looking at you, Juliette), but all in all, they're what makes the show worth watching. This episode has many humorous moments, most of them unintentional.

  • It's strange to see Kirk Acevedo in such a minor role, but I'm always glad to see him. He plays a pretty good bad guy!

  • Why has it been 7 years since Rosalee saw her mother and sister? Did neither of them show up for Freddy's funeral? He wasn't even mentioned, so maybe he wasn't a popular family member.

  • FINALLY! A wesen with telekinetic powers! I was getting a little bored with villains that weren't even strong enough to resist arrest and a Grimm who had no special ability other than to identify animal people. Maybe we will see some worthy fights!

  • Monroe and Rosalee are adorable. I've said it before, but they are television's best couple as far as I'm concerned.

  • Bad guys are bad. Frankie is weird, but I'm glad she got justice. Not one of the series best episodes.

  • The best part was the cat fight between two grown men with tails. Lots of rolling around and attempted stabbings. Funniest moment was when Hank and Nick storm in and just watch while one guy stabbed the other. I'm pretty sure other people have been shot for way less. But hey, at least one of them is going to do prison time.

I admit, I have been slightly annoyed with Nick and Hank treating every vesen like criminals, even when they're justified or only going after other baddies. Nick sometimes comes across as judgmental, and it makes it difficult to root for him sometimes. Juliette has the rare moment when she's not annoying me, and this episode was one of them. All in all, not terrible!
