highly refreshing and unconventional.

given that this is your first movie with no past experience.this movie is astonishingly outstanding.the flow of the story is smooth and has an adherent sense to it.the idea behind the movie is not canonical and is expressed beautifully given the fact that ideas that are not conventional are hard to express.the element of flashback is commendable.it is difficult to detract the acting part as it is a stop motion picture.it is very important to portray emotions with your face expressions and your body language.all four actors have done that brilliantly although my penchant is towards the little sister who provides that saturnine environment to the movie.technical aspects of the movie were fine and the equipments available were put to best use.it is audible and the cinematography is good as well.the music is effectively appropriate.all in all the movie has mixed elements of emotions and the effectiveness of the plot is quiet robust in nature.

Such an effective story telling in such short duration.It had an emotional impact and I was actually watching it in a super concentrated mindset. From beginning till end, the screen captured my attention. The background music, narration and the overall direction of the movie is worth a thousand applauds. Hard to believe its a work of a novice and that too somebody who is so young! Congratulations and best wishes to Astha, Way to go ! I feel so proud about this coming from Indian origin. As for the message, I believe more awareness needs to be generated so that people stop treating mental illness as a stigma. How wonderful it would be if you can straighten up things by getting help before the damage becomes irreparable.

amazing short film

I saw this and I knew what to expect going in to the film as I had already seen the trailer. But I was surprised at how faithful the film was to the original material.The directing was also masterfully done and pretty cool I saw some cool camera tricks I hadn't seen since Martin Scorsese directed Bringing Out The Dead, Astha saxena did one great job and everyone was top notch especially aakanksha mahajan and I never thought I would jump out of fright especially in a Short film but I did. All in all a solid thriller with a good story and some great performances and for me it's the best film I've seen in 2013 so far.It is a complete experience.hats-off.

Best short movie ever

"my little sister" is an exceptional story, but it is only and exceptional film because of its director. the director does an amazing job of engaging his audience, introducing an average girl-next-door kind of main character, and making the audience experience the reality of mental illness. This could have been an unbelievable story to which very people could relate; however, the directorial mastery the movie exhibits throughout allows the audience to accompany the sisters on their individual journey and awareness of this illness from two separate ends. Anyone who has been close to the frailties of the human mind will appreciate how respectfully and honestly this film approaches the subject.Astha is able to portray all the complex reactions to mental illness while maintaining the humanity and dignity of the patient. Superbly directed, wonderfully acted by the cast, this film succeeds on every level and is as good as any 2 hour movie.

Engrossing movie

It is a really neat short film. There are some really thrilling parts but overall it is a soothing film thanks to the composed narration. It has great photography. It is a picturesque movie. The plot is simple and comparable to many psycho-thriller movies but it is not as dark as any of them, much like "A beautiful mind". The movie has a well finished start and end. Also, it is extremely realistic. It lives up to the hype its posters created. This is a really good quality stuff. 100% marks to it without a doubt. You are immersed into the movie from beginning to the end. It is too good for a short movie and even more impressive being a stop motion.

Really nice movie

This piece of work is truly appreciable. I really love the way the story has been presented. Stop motion has never been made using real people, hence this work is truly original. I saw the movie on full surround sound, it really adds to the overall experience really well. It is motivational at the same time, fantasy-like. I think the best part is that it is very realistic and quite relatable. The director really brought the characters out and brought life to the whole stop-motion movie. The contrast that is visible between the two sister is obvious hence the story feels justified.the over all movie is well finished unlike most of the short films. It is a very simple movie that can be watched over and over.

Friend really has an important role to play in our lives ! it is one of the relations where we find the total comfort, happiness and fullness of being !! if it lacks we still live but without a life , just like those stones. "My little sister" has really explained the relations we miss now a days, that of a friendship. Sister , friend , siblings ... one has always been lucky to be blessed with these in their life . I'm thankful to the team of this movie , they made us remember the values we lack now a days, the thing we mostly miss , the sisterly love and friendship .

Short films have never made an impact on me like this movie . Wonderful direction , mind blowing story as schizophrenia stories has always touched my heart . Beautiful acting !! And yes thoroughly loved the background music ... really connects to the emotions with the story telling . How i wish i could have done more than just describing about this movie !

Wow!!! amazing movie

It ticked off all of the requirements in my checklist. It is entertaining, clever, beautiful and well finished. The plot seems to be quite predictable how ever the twists and turns are well timed and totally are unexpected. It is a refreshing psychological thriller. A feel good movie of such a genre is really unheard of. The biggest highlight of the movie is that it is a stop motion. There is some real talent here, you guys being younger than me are frankly producing something beyond your age. Really proud of you guys! Judging it purely from any random viewer's point of view, it is no less than any 2hr movie in terms of impact and intensity. The plot could have been a little more original but it is in no way superficial. The issues addressed are really sensitive and very well handled. Nice job!!, looking forward to more movies from Tuhina productions and stop-motion.inc.

Really cool movie

It was a nice experience to watch this movie. I was even scared to death in the intense scenes. The highs and lows are knit together well. In fact, it would be nice if it had been a 2-3 hours long movie. Although one really has to watch it with all their concentration, it is 11 minutes well spent. The story's interpretation is left to the viewers so some people feel sad and some feel pushed (in a positive way). It is a really cool movie. Amazing shots, everyone is looking really cute. I might even call it a chick flick because I loved all the people were girls but still it was mature and I don't claim that the boys won't like it. It can be called a perfect fantasy movie high on fashion but the good looks were not out of place and were toned down with the change of the mood if the movie. The casting music is really enjoyable.It makes us sit down and watch it till the last second. It is unbelievable that the movie was made in only 10 days. A really smart and efficient work, I must say. I don't know about others but I loved it and found it to be inspirational.

Quite an impressive film

Excellent short film. It is truly worth an applause to use stop motion to convey such a complex story . The story is well written and kept me in grips. Acting is commendable, the highs and lows are well depicted. You girls are looking really pretty at the same time everything from the music to your dress and getup is well matched with the story all throughout the film. Aakanksha Mahajan really looks like she is much younger than Goswami and has the insecure element in her personality, like a school goer really. Goswami also did a really convincing display of enacting a much older character strong in her personality, that difference in maturity is really evident. Also the bond and care that develops with the film is real. Dr.Tuhina really looks much more composed mature than the other two girls. She is most convincing in her role as a doctor in her very body language. She looks like a professional listener and however short her on screen duration is she definitely leaves the lasting impression. However she still looks way too young to be a senior doctor as displayed in her name plate which is easily missed out, so its a really forgivable goof. The director has captured the characters' individuality with perfection. well done!

Considering it is written and directed by such young novice you guys are truly gifted. The fact that it is a stop motion really makes one sit in awe because it is extremely communicative even without dialogs and it totally glues you to the screen for all 12 minutes, even the casting part at the end adds to the whole movie experience. Such an intense story in such a short duration is really unbelievable . Other than the technical marvels, the story itself is smooth and rich and absolutely apt for a short story. It makes you sit and think, to understand the whole story and put the puzzle together, the viewers are assumed to be smart enough to put it all together, a trend that is lost in Indian cinema but this movie reminds you of the class that should be maintained. The subtle acting is also extremely appreciable as the personality transformations are realistic. The characters are strong, the narration is appropriate, monotonous yet reflecting each emotion.The subtle unexpected turns really pulls you into the story and makes you forget it is a stop-motion.I watched it twice in a row. The movie is visually timeless, brilliant work done girls! It's a path breaking college level art film! The message is absolutely relatable , the situation depicted and story, in spite of the supernatural elements, is realistic it all adds to the richness. hats off! If one watches it with their mind completely into it, there is no way one could rate anything less that a 10, its totally worthy of it
