Emily's acting continues to be top-notch. That character is morose, really, ultimately doomed?
As for Nick Weschler, let me finally come out and say it: Just coasting along, buddy, I've been noticing the slump for a long time now. It seems unlikely that a French fashion magazine editor would go for an obscure tavern-keeper, but, okay, yeah, Jack Porter's a decent bloke (I like him) but opposites don't attract that much, not really?
And Amanda Clarke's gravestone. Would Jack still think of her as Amanda Clarke? Okay, this bit of the story is a quagmire and best avoided, but at the very least, Jack, as he sits there "talking to her" should be mentioning "I never really even knew you, not ever."
Ana Ortiz provided another target practice character. She was kinda fun to watch.
Christa did that widening-the-eyes thing twice in her scene with Madeleine Stowe. Why? Doesn't work, honey. Don't do it again.
