Tiny-budgeted British vigilante thriller

Warning: Spoilers
RAW VISIT is a British vigilante movie made on a tiny budget. It's about a young woman whose family is murdered, causing her somewhat unsurprisingly to undergo psychosis which leads her to get revenge on those responsible. The lack of budget means that the whole story takes place inside a car, inside a house, etc. and there's no real narrative drive or suspense to the thing. The lack of experience on the part of the actors really shows too.

This is an odd movie, just over an hour long. I found it entertaining so I gave it a high rating. Maybe the acting wasn't all that good, but I found the main character gave a pretty good performance. There's isn't much talking in this movie. Over half the movie has very little action. But the ending is harsh. Basically it's about revenge. A woman's husband and daughter are murdered by two men for reasons that aren't clear. When she comes home and finds them dead, she checks her computer for video footage and see one their faces. For some reason they remove their masks. Then she finds out where they live though I'm not sure how, and it's a really long drive to get to their house. So for over half the movie, the woman is just traveling, reliving memories of being with her family, and runs into one of the killers a few times. I'm not sure much of this makes sense. Anyway, the ending is pretty harsh, and not at all pleasant.

Silent but violent

Interesting movie. Not much dialogue in this movie and the picture tells it all really and therefore is cleaver. Very easy to understand with a few brutal moments to make this stand out from other revenge movies. Joanna Bool in my opinion gives a good performance and carries the film well. However I don't find the killings at the beginning a big enough reason for them to have done it, but as everything has been achieved in the most realistic way makes this film worth the while. Raw visit explores peoples' emotions and just how far someone could go to seek revenge on a murderer. It shows that if your family is killed you could quite easily take law into your own hands and you don't care what happens to you after you've got your revenge.
