Would be better but for Alexis...

Warning: Spoilers
Wow she is a spoiled know it all brat. After rewatching castle through again, pretty much skip most of her scenes in the show. So this episode have to skip. Granted castle spoiled her, and gave her her way all the time, so it's not 100 percent her fault. But she acts like she's the best thing since sliced bread, and her attitude takes away any funny or normal drama away from the show.

I used to really like Alexis in the first seasons, she was adorable and likeable. Then i dont know what happened, but i think since she started working for Lanie she became know-it-all. Like she is suddenly outsmarting everyone (even i know its told multiple times she is smart) but come on. As others have mentioned she comes off as spoiled rich girl, and its not all Castle's fault. I ended up skipping most off the episode, as much as i appreciate the ol' father/daughter bonding moments. Also ps. Was it just me or was her reason for being mad at her dad (as in previous ep) just childish and her being a brat? Like i actually sided with Castle lmao.

Something I've Missed?
Oddelg5 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
There was something that bugged me while watching this episode. And it kind of ruined it for me. That is why the 7/10 is there.

First of, the plot. A man is guilty for having killed a girl in the neighbor-house 15 years ago. Today, because of lack of evidence against the fact that he killed her, he has three days left before he gets killed. Alexis knows this guy well and wants to help him out in his last days by finding the "real killer".

What bugs me is that we never get to know what Alexis has to do with this case. We see her in the court-room in the beginning and we understand that she knows the guilty man and wants to help him. Where exactly does she know him from? We never even hear anything from the past of their relationship. Is it something I've missed? Not even Castle asks her about it. He just wants to help her to bond a little better after the fight in last episode.

Except for this kind of major plot hole, the episode is fine I guess. A little stressed up, but hey, I would have been stressed to if I had to solve a case for a soon-to-be-dead man without any help from the police.

Tiresome

The actual story in this episode is pretty good but I have realized after binge watching these shows that Alexis is nothing but an obnoxious spoiled brat, and Molly Quinn is a really bad actress. This episode was painful to watch because Alexis was front and center; suddenly smarter than everyone including her Dad. Actually, Castle acts like a bumbling fool ever since he and Beckett got together.
