the cell is one of my all time favourate episodes

I love the flashbacks with Damon its a very dark and graphic story that really drives home why when we first meet Damon in season one he's sadistic and cruel, its all to do with what he went through as an exoeriment , I love the introduction of enzo who ends up becoming one if my fave character not just in vampire diaries but in the TVD verse, I also liked Stefan being helped through his PTSD by Katherine and right afterward they have sex that was strange but understandable, I love this episode it has all you can want in a episode of the vampire diaries

Great ever episode to drive you crazy.......!!!!!!!

The episode was so much fun that I could not resist myself from writing a review. It takes us to a different plot far away from vampire diaries where humans hurt vampire in immoral ways to conduct experiments on their mysterious abilities.

This is a great transformation in the series to travel through more darker sides even possible with the concept of vampire being treated as a victim.

Though the series started very slowly this year with all of the meaning or the driving forces scattered in bits and pieces. This is one such episode which will almost give a new dimension to be expected from the show.

It was like I could not spend a week waiting for the next episode so thought to get myself occupied seeing the episode again and again and giving this review.

One of the few episodes that are worth watching again and again.

Losing the will...

Season 5 is soooooo boring. I came late to this after watching The Originals and Legacies. But, I don't think I'm going to get to season 8.

PTSD - Introduction of Enzo
vivianla26 November 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Katherine has brought back-up to help Stefan with his PTSD. Caroline shows up with the coffin.

Elena tells Aaron how suspicious his guardian is - he covered Megan's death by signing the death certificate. Jesse died by "suicide". Aaron takes her to Whitmore House where she is invited in by him and she finds out that Aaron owns the college due to a trust left to him.

Wes comes and injects her with vervain. Wes explains to Aaron about vampires. Aaron punches Wes and takes a gun to go downstairs and confront the vampires.

Damon was a former experiment of the Whitmore family. Enzo and him were cut up and experimented on while the scientists watched them heal and regrow back their organs in fascination. At the New Year's Eve party they are locked in a cell and partygoers watch a demonstration of their blood healing wounds.

Enzo comes up with an idea. One of them gets the other's ration and builds up enough strength on New Year's Eve to fight back. Damon wins the rock-paper-scissors and at the party fights back. He kills some guests as well. A fire is accidentally started and Damon cannot get Enzo out of the vervain-coated cage. Damon turns off his emotions and leaves Enzo to die.

Elena wakes up to find herself on a gurney and Enzo is beside her.
