Not bad re-adaptation at all. It totally got its own vibe and humor. Love those American-British "beefs" shown. So cute.
The chemistry between Asha and Matt is subtle yet strong, making me giggling and blushing so much. Their eye contact is insane.
Coherent storytelling, smooth editing and directing, beautiful camerawork and most importantly, the song choices are PERFECT, even the original music score is perfect for me.
You can obviously tell it's from female directors. Everything is just so gentle and delicate.
It definitely becomes my comfort movie. I love it so much.
I really liked the changes they made to the plot and the characters. Culpa Mia portraits a really toxic relationship, this one was actually sweet and romantic and their whole relationship development makes sense. The difference in the Nick character was great and he was likeable in this movie. I didn't like his toxic character in the original, so it was a good surprise.
The protagonists had great chemistry so it made all the movie easier to watch, while knowing what was happening. I liked the more action factor, it added more levels to the story. And I also liked so much how the anxiety of Noah and the drinking problem of some characters were portaided.
If you are in for an entertaining and romantic story, choose this one. If you like angst and the toxic type watch the original!

- Quotes
Noah: I never believed in happy endings. London was supposed to be a fresh start, but it turned out to be the end-the end of my pain, of blaming myself for things that weren't my fault. I was broken before I met Nick. But it turns out the broken ones have the power to heal each other. We were eternally tied together-a knot that could never be broken.
