I liked the episode, I liked the tragic story of Silas and amara, its funny for Stefan a vampire to suffer PTSD but then again he and other vampire have humanity so it does actually make sense, I loved the episode

Lots of twists and turns as usual but can't tell what direction they are going in. All I'll say is we need more joker Silas because what a guy, I'm liking this new side. I know the season just started (yes I've somehow dodged spoilers all these years) but some of the side stories like with the Doctor gives shades of previous seasons where a new character is introduced and surprise surprise, he knows about vampires and has some shady ass motive. Gotta love the new Caroline/Katherine duo, but lets see how long this combo lasts before some betrayal. Lets see what this new vampire brings or is it just some fancy name.

Lots of things happened in this episode. Katherine celebrates by ordering a lot of breakfast food and the waitress asking if she is sure a little thing like her can finish it all. Katherine replies she is celebrating because she thought she was going to die. The waitress comments that she made an interesting choice with her hair. Katherine checks her reflection to find a grey strand. She is aging.
Elena and Damon snuggle comfortably on the sofa. Damon counts down and Silas shows up as his witch-self. Silas only allows the men to go look for the Anchor with him in the warehouse. Elena is not allowed to come because she looks too much like Amara.
Elena falls into Amara's jealousy trap by implying with Stefan's phone that they slept together and he is in the shower after working up a sweat. Elena goes to check in and walks right through the door not realizing there is a barrier.
Katherine is roaming around the dorm in a towel when Caroline comes. Caroline realizes she is Katherine and demands to know what she is here for. Caroline and Katherine team up to bring Professor Wes down. Katherine expertly uses tubes to draw blood out of him. They share a secret smile when Professor confesses that this secret society is interested in finding out if Elena is a vampire or not. Katherine shows up at the party and the black woman at the door is shocked she can walk in. Caroline compels the Professor and leaves. Black woman shows up and tells him he missed the party and Elena showed up being not a vampire.
Tessa gives Stefan back all his memories and they are painful.
