The Lesser Key of Solomon introduces a new society with ancient roots and a mission; but unlike Abbie and Crane and their band evil-fighters trying to save humanity itself, an old mercenary foe of the Revolutionary-era colonists surfaces. The episode is an important one in the freshman season of the series as Jenny is finally solidified as part of the Scooby-team and the Witnesses learn key details about the name and nature of the evil they are fighting. There is also a wonderful true-only-in-Sleepy-Hollow version of a key moment in Boston history that alone makes the episode worth watching. The "twis-tory" (twisted-history) aspects of this series are clever and amusing and inspire plenty of follow-up internet searches to refresh historical knowledge. A solid and important outing.
