Dr Wells...

Steals the episode, first when he asks about the "Date", and then when he is having a conversaion with the computer, hilarious :)

@Tyanneh, although your review is correct, you are nitpicking, and apparently have forgotten, this is a crime tv show, not a damn documentary!!!

In all movies and series, you will also see bottles of wine, whiskey etc, that doesn't even exist, so if you wanna walk in such small shoes, there is A LOT of details to be found in tv shows and movies, it's fiction, it's not meant to be 100% correct, if it was, it would probably take away the joy of watching such shows / movies ;)

Dr. Wells Can Kick Rocks
briezey23 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I wasn't sure if I was going to write a review for this episode but then Oliver Wells opened his mouth.

The case this week was good and the B plot of Bones and Booth figuring out wedding details was nice. I simply want to rant about Oliver Wells.

He is by far the rudest intern that we have had on the show. The comments that he makes to Bones and Cam are disrespectful and border line misogynistic. When he said "very good Dr. Brennan" it came off in a very deeming tone. He is an egocentric, annoying, not at all personable character who detracts from this show. The writers make it seem as though he does even want to be working at the Jeffersonian, what with him reading on the platform at the beginning of the episode. Like, if you don't want to be here buddy, go home, because I have a feeling there are other people who would want this way more than he does. There is nothing likeable about this character. He is the new "Daisy" in my opinion, every episode he is in has to go down a point or two just because their mere presence takes away from the overall enjoyable nature of this show. There is a way to write a smart character without making them an absolute d*ck. The most comparable would probably be Zack, who was crazy smart but still loved by the team (even after the whole cannibalistic serial killer thing). Maybe if there was a point to Oliver being a rude jerk I could get behind the character but right now it is just annoying. The writers better give him a good storyline or they better write him off because if he sticks around and has no personal growth I can't see any episode with him in it scoring higher than a 7 in my opinion.

Best Part: Brennan saving the wedding dress, that is so adorable

Worst Part: Oliver Wells and his annoying personality.

Wells Is Back
Hitchcoc25 February 2023
The episode centers on a man who is found hanging over a cliff. It appears to be suicide but turns out to be homicide. We also have the return of Dr. Wells who continues to alienate everyone. Bones likes him because he has no personality and they are birds of a feather. The man who died had a death sentence, cancer, and had spent his remaining time doing videos that proposed a bucket list and advice to people to not let a day go by without purpose. These videos were becoming super-popular and were already bringing in money when he died. A subplot has do do with Sweets being threatened by computer profiling program. On a whole different topic, Bones speaks in term of everything being quantifiable. This doesn't work. The human brain is the most complex device in existence, and yet it is affected by thousands of variables. The computer would only regurgitate what its programming said. The chess thing is indeed a poor example.

About the falcon and inaccuracies in the show
Tyanneh19 March 2017
I really enjoyed scenes with Hodgins taking care of the falcon but I find it important to mention that "rangle" is not the proper name for the part of the food regurgitated by a bird. Birds of prey (but not only) cast pellets not rangle. Rangle is a name of tiny stones that are fed to falcons to aid in digestion.

This is not the first time I noticed such inaccuracy in Bones. I read some of the reviews of the previous episodes and apparently it's quite common. I don't understand why the writers can't do some more research. It's really not that hard. However, I like the fact that the cases in the show are very diverse and you can learn about various things while watching it. Remember to DOUBLE-CHECK THE FACTS, though ;)
