(artificial intelligence), to use it for the easy and quick proliferation of disinformation via deep fake photos and videos. As a tool to deceive people. We have already seen examples of that and are sure to see more as time goes on. That part is sad.
But the more interesting part of this program is to see some of the ways A. I. is being used to better understand our world and to predict what will happen. Like developing more specific medicines, or to recognize patterns to predict illnesses so they can be prevented, or to simply monitor mountaintop cameras to recognize forest fires before they become larger, or for fraud detection.
The politics are also covered, the efforts being made to possibly establish "guard rails" on new A. I. technology so that it might be better controlled.
It is clear that A. I. can be a powerful tool for advancement, but also a powerful tool for more sophisticated deception and criminal activity. Which will win? Only time will tell.
