The middle finger statue briefly shown in the Milan scenes is real, fashioned in marble by Maurizio Cattelan in 2010 and located in front of the Stock Exchange building. Consisting of a vertically raised hand (which was the greeting of the early 20th century Italian fascists) with four of its fingers cut off, it represents both an antifascist message and a response to the 2008 financial crisis.
