In today’s TV news roundup, Hulu announces a premiere date for “Little Fires Everywhere” and Variety exclusively obtains a first look at this year’s Christmas episode of “The Simpsons.”
Dates
“Little Fires Everywhere” will debut March 18, Hulu announced. Produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine, Kerry Washington’s Simpson Street, and ABC Signature Studios, the show is based on Celeste Ng’s 2017 bestselle of the same name, and follows the intertwined fates of the picture-perfect Richardson family and an enigmatic mother and daughter who upend their lives. The story explores the weight of secrets, the nature of art and identity, the ferocious pull of motherhood — and the danger in believing that following the rules can avert disaster. Witherspoon and Washington also star in the new series as Elena Richardson and Mia Warren, respectively, alongside Joshua Jackson, Rosemarie DeWitt, Jade Pettyjohn, Jordan Elsass, Gavin Lewis, Megan Stott, Lexi Underwood and Huang Lu.

In this, the second edition of Darkest Night from Jeremy Lennert and Victory Point Games, one to four players will play cooperatively to tackle the growing darkness of an evil necromancer. To do so, they’ll form a crew of heroes from a selection of around thirty, each and every one of which is highly individual. The game is played on a very straightforward board with basically only seven spaces on it and in fact, it’s quite a simple game overall. Darkest Night is also incredibly thematic, especially when played with the lights down a bit, a few candles on and some haunting music playing in the background.
However you play it, the game is much easier to setup than the huge box filled with individual card organisers might suggest. There are indeed millions of cards in the box, but most of this relate to each of the specific hero classes.

Stars: Natalie Burn, Vinnie Jones, Daryl Hannah, Edward Furlong, Jason London, Robert Davi, Michael Paré, Christa Campbell, David Keith, Michael Copon, Daz Crawford, Augie Duke, Benny Urquidez | Written by Mark Atkins, Natalie Burn, Ryan Priest | Directed by Mark Atkins
What makes distributors think that joe public will grab any Vinnie Jones movie off the supermarket shelf sight unseen? The man isn’t exactly the bastion of quality direct to market movies these days (have you seen the godawful Kill Kane?) Thankfully I took a look at the rest of the credits for Left To Die and it was those that sold me on buying this gem of a film on iTunes, Not Mr. Jones… After all, just look at that cast: Daryl Hannah, Edward Furlong, Jason London, Robert Davi, Michael Paré, Christa Campbell, David Keith and there’s even a cameo by Benny “The Jet” Urquidez – a veritable who’s who of Dtv megastars!

Genre actress and fan-fave Kristina Klebe sat down with us over the weekend to talk about her role in director Milan Todorović’s upcoming "murderous mermaid" flick (and more), and since she’s all sorts of awesome, you’ll read this. Multi-talented Klebe, best known to horror audiences for her roles in Rob Zombie’s Halloween, Zack Parker’s buzzed-about Proxy and Lucien Förstner’s Bela Kiss: Prologue, added yet another notch to her genre belt last year by re-teaming with Zone of the Dead director Todorović for Nymph (a.k.a. Mamula), a feature which revolves around two young American women who go on a Mediterranean vacation, only to uncover the watery lair of a killer mermaid hidden beneath an abandoned military fortress. “Two things attracted me to Nymph,” stated Klebe of the seemingly Thale-esque project, which was penned by Barry Keating from a story by Marko Backovic, and...
