amazing but way too short and rushed
zzcool5009 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
I don't know what i expected, being a very dedicated Futurama fan i looked forward to this a lot it was my understanding it would be like an hour long like a movie.

This episode was amazing, i loved bender in this i loved all the references even seeing Seymour still waiting, but it felt way too rushed i feel very cheated on what this could have been it was amazing but so rushed and short, i don't know what to say about it it just felt rushed thats all i can say, the relationship bender and homer had was the best part of the episode and the ending where bender instead of going into back to the future, decided to wait it out was exactly as i'd imagine bender acting and true to who he is, all in all i highly recommend it to any futurama fan i only hope futurama can come back, i would have given it a solid 10 if it didn't feel so rushed it was over just like that.

Finest Crossover in Years,
lesleyharris3013 December 2014
Simpsorama is a fantastic Simpsons episode with a very well written storyline and a ton of hilarious scenes.I was completely entertained from start to finish, and I know people say that crossovers are usually cheesy and mediocre ways of bringing two different franchises together, but this certainly wasn't.I am a huge fan of both the Simpsons and Futurama, they are both created by Matt Groening and the humour is very similar so it didn't feel like they were bringing two shows together that have little in common. It was truly magical seeing characters such as Homer and Bender interact and I have high hopes that they make more Simpsorama's in the future,I would be perfectly fine if they wanted to make one every year, the same way they do with Treehouse of Horror,it would be a great way to keep Fry and the gang alive and it would be something cool and different for the Simpsons to do.Simpsorama goes by very quickly and a lot of Futurama characters don't get enough dialogue,so I would really like to see more,as this is certainly a highlight of the twenty sixth season.

Some very familiar faces swing by when Bender and the rest of the Planet Express crew travel back in time to stop the Simpsons from destroying the future.

A very funny crossover.
Sleepin_Dragon28 January 2021
I'm all for crossover episodes, and having enjoyed The Family Guy crossover, I looked forward to this. Just as good as I expected, this was a funny episode, with some fun moments and nice jokes.

The joke in the opening sequences was great fun, about ideas.... and you do wonder what the next crossover will be.

Imagine a future of little goblin Bart Simpsons, shudders.

Bender in Springfield, who'da thunk it. Best moment had to be Lisa highlighting how much Bender resembled Homer, and the subsequent similarities.

Good fun, 8/10.

Waited for a long time to see all them together

Warning: Spoilers
I loved the episode, it was really nice to see all that wonderful characters all together, even more after Futurama cancellation (please bring it back!!). It spent very fast, it would have been better to make a special episode lasting one hour like The Simpson Guy was. A crossover with Futurama deserved it, and you'd have had more time to develop a plot more rich, less rushed I think IMO. The scene where Homer feeds Bender with beer and stays looking at him seems to me a proud and tender last glimpse from creators to their loved creature what is over now... wonderful and emotive... Thank you guys. Don't forget Futurama!!!

Better then the Simpsons Family Guy crossover
mwcrunner15 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This does contain 2 of my most favorite shows of all time and is definitely better then the Simpson Family Guy crossover. This does have a nice plot to it and I did like all those little Bart gremlins that Homer kept killing lol. I also did like it that Homer meets Fry and both Homer and Fry don't have very high IQ's yet Fry was able to defeat a race of alien brains. This crossover has happened in the comic books too. Also what would've made this more interesting is what if Mr. Burns and Mom the two main villains of the Simpsons and Futurama teamed up to take over both the Simpsons universe and Futurama universe. That would've been awesome and both villains are awesome and funny. All in all this crossover deserves a fair score. 8 out 10.

Warning: Spoilers
Starts off kinda bad very bad, there are some terrible jokes and weird pacing. But then things pick up when you see the Futurama crew and its pretty good.

Made me shed a tear when they show Fry's dog Seymour.

Okay

Warning: Spoilers
After Family Guy's crossover in September, some people were wondering about the Futurama crossover with The Simpsons. Some say it'll be better then Family Guy's or not good, considering that it's now cool to hate new Simpsons, I do have my own criticisms of the show but they do put some effort into the stories and jokes in some new ones. After two months of waiting since the season premiere of The Simpsons, the crossover was okay. The writing was good and I did get a few laughs out of some jokes. Though this might would've worked as a Halloween segment. The character that pretty much stood out the most in the crossover was Bender and his little relationship with Maggie was funny. Some of the easter eggs were good too such as Fry's dog. The Kang and Kodos scene with Lur and Ndnd was shoehorned in just to give the two green aliens some screen time despite that they share no importance to the plot. It would be better if it were maybe a space invasion with the twi alien species. Same would go to the character Hendonismbot, shoehorned in for no valid reason.

The character designs for the Futurama character look very out of proportion, some look very stretchy and flat whereas in their own show they look like designs you see in The Simpsons. If I were to choose the two crossovers I choose Family Guy's, what makes that better then this is because the plot was just a whole satire take on the criticism of Family Guy being a 'rip off' of The Simpsons despite that FG's style has been very different and raunchy since its comeback in 2005. It's Okay, but not the best episode I've seen and not the best crossover I've seen.

Also Ralph Wiggum dying in 2017 because of a plaque seen at the end? I don't think we'll see another kill off of a Simpsons character and I hope we won't see it as some tired out running trend, the kill off they did for Krusty's dad was just a total meh and was over-hyped by everyone on social media and the media itself.

So much better than the last crossover
hachirouv6 September 2021
My only complaint is that I wanted so much more, which is the complete opposite of The Simpsons Guy.

Eh...just because it's a crossover doesn't automatically make it a great for The Simpsons.
adampkalb30 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
I hardly ever talk about or rewatch The Simpsons Guy and Simpsorama because The Simpsons is a universe where the people have yellow skin while Family Guy and Futurama do not and because these get better reception than most 2010s The Simpsons episodes almost by default. Maybe if it was a full hour instead of a half-hour like The Simpsons Guy, it could have done more with each of the Futurama characters. For the most part it was just Homer, Bender and Bart. I liked when Homer and Bender were playing, but I did not like when Scruffy killed himself because he had no mustache, or when Professor Farnsworth said this is the worst possible future and motherly love was outlawed (probably because Mom copyrighted it, I guess).

Also, if Bender really wanted to kill Bart so his snot in the sandwich doesn't fuse with Milhouse's rabbit's foot and Mr. Burns's ooze, why not just have him travel back in time to before the episode started? I guess because this is just an idiot plot that wouldn't have any story if it was actually written well, like Da Boom Crew or Norm of the North. Still a less idiotic story than The Simpsons Guy having an anti-plagarism law against Family Guy that ends up having no weight because they will never come over to Quahog to enforce it. Despite the terrible moment with Peter not letting Meg have Lisa's saxophone, at least that one had a cool fight scene like Peter's fights with Ernie the Giant Chicken, but replacing Ernie with Homer (and Trump Guy later doing this with Donald Trump) and gave the The Simpsons cast a 3rd episode with Adam West and a 2nd episode with James Woods. I still think Simpsorama is slightly better because it is less bad.

For a new episode with a badly excecuted good idea, Simpsorama is still way more watchable than Flanders' Ladder because it didn't have to ruin good characters to get there, but if you want a really good episode of The Simpsons in the 2010s that isn't the Boyhood episode or Homer dreaming of Legos, try watching Halloween of Horror or Springfield Splendor or Forgive and Regret, the episode that passes Gunsmoke's episode count with a very emotional storyline between Homer and Abe. All 3 of these episodes have all the emotional depth that most episodes in the earlier Seasons of The Simpsons in the early-to-mid-1990s were known for having. Also, do you think Simpsorama and a few other later The Simpsons episodes take place in an alternate timeline that coexists with Futurama? Because Bender was in The Simpsons' basement in Cue Detective, but he wasn't there in Gal of Constant Sorrow.

More entertaining than the Family Guy crossover!
celiawatsonanime5 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I liked the way the town treated Bender after he was the first one there.

I really like how they found a way to get rid of the problem with the futuristic Bart monsters without having to kill Homer.

This whole situation with the disease or whatever Bart accidentally sending in the time capsule is pretty intense.

It's never explained how the disease or whatever lasts that long and mutates in the time capsule.

Funny, memorable episode
mandolorian-2907422 October 2022
Although the two shows have its differences, Futurama set it the future, more focused on the plot and a different feel to the Simpson. And Simpsons an old fashioned, smart, well thought out show. But one thing they both share it that they are both, wholesome, fun, and a joy to watch. The plot was interesting and funny and it was hilarious finding out how all this mess happens in the first place. But on to the characters, they blended very well of each other especially Homer and Bender. There was a funny joke about how similar they are to each other. Sure the plot could have been a little better and some of the jokes weren't great, but overall the two shows combined to create a fun, memorable and enjoyable crossover episode, which in the end is what cartoons are all about. Enjoyable and able to make you laugh. Definitely recommend this episode.

What an enjoyable crossover 😄
dreamingskychild8 March 2023
As a fan of The Simpsons and Futurama for many years, it was an absolute delight to see this episode. I didn't even know it existed! Up until a few months, I'd only seen The Simpsons up to about season 13. Since getting Disney Plus, I've been watching all the new seasons, starting from season 14. 'Simpsorama' is definitely one of the best newer Simpsons episodes in my opinion. I honestly hope that they do another crossover with Futurama. It worked really nicely here, and has the potential to be even better, and funnier too. If they do make another S & F crossover, I hope that Fry will have some more lines, I love his character. Anyway, whether you're a Simpsons fan, a Futurama fan, or you love both shows, this is an episode you've got to see! It's fun and wholesome 😊

One of the best modern episodes
gabrieldabeast-4550216 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The Simpsons nowadays is definitely not something I watch. It's not horrible, but it got too political and boring and it's not the same as it was in Seasons 1-8. Now, when I first heard of The Simpsons and Futurama having a crossover, I knew it was going to be something, and I was right. It was super creative and fun to watch and I liked how Bart was the one who made the future bad by blowing his nose in a sandwich and made Bart goblins and I did like seeing Bender and Homer hang out together, even if Bender had to kill Homer. I thought the part where Leela says to herself "Don't mention her hair" when she saw Marge and Marge says to herself "Don't mention her eye" when she saw Marge was pretty funny. I think this crossover is much better than the Family Guy and The Simpsons crossover and it's definitely worth your time.
