The film was made as an independent Dogma film with the rules created by the filmmakers themselves:
1 The camera must be hand held.
2 All filming must be done on 16mm.
3 All sound must be recorded on set.
4 No artificial lighting. If light is needed, then the lamp has to be a part of the scene.
5 The same lens must be used throughout the entire production run.
6 The crew is not permitted to talk about private matters (i.e. with no relation to the production at hand) on set.
7 Al Foley work is not permitted.
8 Digital VFX are not allowed.
