Nathan Page, the actor who portrays Jack, trained with the Australian Institute of Sport to be an elite cyclist and raced in Europe professionally from 1990. He did not make it far in the professional ranks, retiring at nineteen predominantly due to his refusal to use performance enhancing drugs.
At the end of the episode, 'Jack' (Nathan Page) dubs the voice of a Roman Guard played by 'Bert' (Travis McMahon). In real life, Nathan Page does a lot of voiceover work for Australian advertisements.
