Claudia = No Plans Whatsover!
ygwerin128 September 2023
Claudia Donovan has no apparent 'Plan' in her existence, and seems to act purely out of some form of instinct, or as it appears to more from a knee jerk, reaction to events in her life.

Looking at her life in retrospect, her reaction to her brother Joshua's, personal predicaments was purely altruistic. And she had to then face the horrors, that resulted from the subsequent reactions, from a totally unfeeling world.

These occurrences are absolutely guaranteed, to screw up even the most well balanced of equilibriums.

Viewing some of the earlier childhood experiences, we can certainly see why, that may not be so in her case.

But does any of this explain her reaction to Steve Jinx? Did she relate to him as a surrogate brother figure?

Perhaps her reaction to her sister Claire is after all understandable, especially with regard to her earliest childhood reminiscences. But all of this still leaves me with the consideration, that in reality she still has some aspects, of her adolescence to work her way through.

Warning: Spoilers
I find myself laughing at scenes that are clearly not meant to be funny. When Brida's kid jumped off the roof and did her best superman impersonation just to faceplant halfway onto a roof and then fall 6 feet onto the ground, I couldn't stop laughing. I'm not even sure how that killed her? She smacked another roof after falling maybe 8 feet on the way down and then maybe fell another 5-6 feet after that. I guess she could have broken her neck from landing awkwardly, but I think what actually happened is the kid just gave up on life rather than have to go back to having Brida as a mother.

And why was Stiorra still hanging out in the sewers this whole time if there was clearly an exit??? I thought maybe she was stuck down there or something, but Uhtred and Sigtryygr clearly used it to infiltrate the town. How would Brida's soldiers not have found that same sewer in like 2 minutes worth of searching? Did they just stare at their feet and walk around in small circles when they were searching the town?

And how did Brida manage to get away with so many men still alive? And how were all of the soldiers on horses that were with Uhtred unable to catch up to her? And why would they just let her speed walk away in the first place? Uhtred's explanation for allowing this to happen made no sense. Brida's plot armor is ridiculous at this point and I have zero clue as to how she has been able to get anyone at all to follow her. Also, LOL at them literally making a square to fight in by laying half a dozen big sticks on the ground for some reason. Arrrgghh so many frustrating things about this season!!
