Underrated Clean Comedy Special

I have always preferred the non-clean comedy style as it has a wider variety of topics. That being said, I decided to give Professional Mixed Breed a shot and I found it amazingly funny. Being clean and funny is not an easy task, let alone performing international jokes in front of a Malaysian crowd.

It's not a great special, it's far for perfect but it's genuinely good. The fact that Gajen Nad is a Malaysian based in Malaysia, it was his first ever comedy special and its on Netflix worldwide, says something. As a Malaysian, I am very happy to see a Malaysian make it on Netflix internationally.

Would love to see his next special be better than this. This special is a very good start. I would highly recommend Gajen Nad's Professional Mixed Breed to anyone regardless of nationality.

Original, Smart, Clean & Funny

It's never easy doing clean stand-up comedy but Gajen Nad does it well. Nice diversity of joke topics. Suitable for international audience, even better for corporate crowd. Is it great? No, it's not but it's quite good for a Netflix debut. The stage usage & transitions could've been better. I would also loved to see more video angles. It's nice to see Netflix giving opportunities to south east asian (based) stand-up comedians. I sincerely look forward to Gajen Nad's 2nd Netflix comedy special. In the meantime, I highly recommend you all to watch this comedy special. Original, Smart, Clean & Funny!

Not Bad For A First Comedy Special

What's good: Clean Material, Tight, International Jokes (some local references were explained for global audience), Diverse Joke Topics, Doesn't Oversell the Jokes, Various Joke Writing Techniques

What could be improved: Better segues, Some jokes may have been milked a little too much, Video shot of the audience would've been nice.

If I were to compare my comedy special to other specials globally, I would rate it 7.5/10 but because this is my 1st ever 1-hour special in 10 years (started 2012, performed & recorded in 2022) with restricted budget and resources, I'll give it a 9/10. Rest assured my next one will be even better!
