Not original, but different
chevleclair7 May 2014
One Saturday, I woke up with my son and after making breakfast, we settled in and watched a few cartoons on the tried and true kids network, Nickelodeon. Most of these shows were filled with fart jokes and hip lingo. This was, as it seems, to cover for these shows' total lack of wit. Then, a TV friendly version of some of my favorite video game characters croaking out sprach Zarathustra. Those were the Raving Rabbids from the Rayman series. While the show also lacked wit, it shamelessly dovetailed into a slapstick series of misadventures. Compared to what my eyes and ears were subjected to previously, this was such a relief.

What can I say about the plot less, aimless episodes? Chase scenes, mishaps, and beatings dominate this series. If we took a preschool class, somehow made them indestructible, gave them each a case of Red Bull, and turned them loose on the planet, you would get the chaos of this show, and boy I loved it.

"Groundbreaking", "Up to date", "hip", and "original" are not words to describe this show at all. The only word to describe the mayhem in this show would be "fun".

Enjoy the show for what it is, expect nothing big, and you'll have fun, too.

This show was probably one of the better shows of it's time on Nickelodeon. Let's face it modern Nick right now sucks. (Besides The Loud House and TMNT) Rabbids isn't of course for the everyone, but it is perfect for the younger audience it is aimed at, and fans of the Rabbid's video games. During it's run on Nickelodeon, it was miles ahead other shows in terms of quality like Sanjay and Craig, Breadwinners, and yes SpongeBob SquarePants. (Of course, because SpongeBob was garbage 2008-2015)

This was a thing?

To be fair, I played all the Rayman Raving Rabbids games as a child. I really like the franchise despite the Rabbids being annoying sometimes. I'm not sure why they got their own show at the time where the franchise was on a loose end. The franchise did recover afterwards, but I totally forgot this show was real. Honestly, many people would say this show is annoying, but I find it more boring and generic. The Rabbids are quite annoying sometimes, but I'm mostly just bored watching. It's harmless for kids to watch, but I was even bored after first watching this show at 11 years old.

The show isn't bad; it's just boring and generic. The show didn't annoy me like other nicktoons in the early to mid 2010s like Breadwinners, but it was nothing much. It's just a show that will occupy your kids for a while, but it's harmless at least. The show is just standard at best, but annoying at worst.

Really Ubisoft!?
I was OK with the games that are Rayman spin-offs, but this!? I have no idea why people are so in love with a retarded alien race who make humans miserable (e.g. Rabbid Radar) and steal their property (e.g. that bathing suit episode)! Basically they're a stupider version of the Kraang.

To add to that they can only say 1 thing and they all look exactly alike it's confusing! I rather watch Minions since they still have differences and have their unique language!

Appreciate the effort put into animating this show though. And since what I'm saying is not enough for IMDb to submit my review, I just wanna say I started a petition on change.org to cancel this show! It's so stupid it makes Fanboy & ChumChum seem like a masterpiece!

This show is the most stupid show ever...
helixboxcar8 November 2014
Warning: Spoilers
So, one day I turned on the TV and somehow found this show. I tried to watch it for a while.

OK, I cant describe how BAD this stupid show is in 1000 words! So this is what happened... The "rabbids" ( made with stupid-looking horrible cgi,) were bouncing all over, throwing garbage and poo at each other, and were uttering strange stupid sounds. Bwa Bwa Bwa.. this WILL rub off on little children's developing minds, so this show, really, is a show, sorry, for dumb basses. The humans were made very stupid in the show, they only talked a tiny bit, and the language was as basic as a 1960s 8 bit game. This show will NOT teach kids vocabulary whatsoever. Also, there are no morals to the stupid " stories" ALL THEY DO IS GO AROUND, CAUSE OTHERS MISFOURTUNE, ( IN THE SHOW WORLD AND THE REAL WORLD ) AND UTTER STUPID SOUNDS AND THROW CRAP AND POO AT OTHER STUFF!!! Beware, you WILL hate this show the 1st minute passed. WARNING: DO NOT LET CHILDREN WATCH THIS SHOW ; IT WILL POISON THEIR MINDS WITH URGES TO THROW POO AND SAY BWA BWA WAAAAA ALL OVER, PLUS THEY WILL START TO BE EXTREMELY NAUGHTY AND RUNNING AROUND LIKE A MANIC GOING BWAAAAAA! I regard this show very low, as a time waster. GO WATCH GOOD SHOWS! NICK, U R SWITHCOING ALL GOOD SHOWS WITH POO, IF U R READING THIS.

Not what I expected, but not bad either
CriticalBunniez-6666 July 2017
I was a big fan of the Raving Rabbids games when I was little,so when I heard they were getting their own show I had to check it out. I kind of expected for there to be a story line similar to the first few games, (what I could remember of them anyway), where they are evil and are terrorizing mankind. However, it is more of a fun slapstick cartoon, and the rabbids are much nicer and dumber than I remember them being in the games. The violence is also way more tame. I love how the show can tell a story without words, and you can understand what the rabbids are saying through their situation and body language. I find it hilarious how the rabbids cause chaos by just being stupid. If you are looking to watch RI be prepared for a lot of fart jokes, slapstick, and mayhem. If you are a parent who is concerned about the educational value of the rabbids, this show is NOT meant to be educational, and NOT EVERY CARTOON SHOULD BE. There is also some adult humor in it, but it's very subtle (I could have swore I heard one of the rabbids say f@!# in one of the episodes 😂). This show doesn't have a big, mystery filled plot, but the humor makes up for it. The only thing that annoys me is how they overuse the locations and characters. I really liked season 1 with the scientists, season 2 was good too, and season 3 was OK. I hope this show doesn't get canceled so that they may make an episode that gives the rabbids a proper backstory so we can see where they REALLY come from if the show is even canon (those who played the games will understand). Overall "Rabbids Invasion" is a pretty good show. I would suggest this show to fans of the games and cartoon violence. This title gets a thumbs up from CriticalBunniez 👍

Dear God...

Warning: Spoilers
Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you...the worst show ever made. I saw this show on Nick and thought to myself "Oh I never played any of the video games it's based on, but I'm sure it'll be fine." despite remembering just fine the disaster that was Tak and the Power of Juju. I thought wrong, this show, killed my insides. What really hurts is that you know that they are trying to be funny, but they're failing so very badly it hurts you on the inside. I'll spoil this right here for you; the characters and plots are too stupid to enjoy. I watched two episodes, I had to text my friends about how bad this show was almost instantly upon the show ending. Stay away from this show, please, save yourself. You still have a chance not to see this.

Instead of this cancer I recommend instead four shows that are actually funny: Adventure Time, Fairly Odd Parents Regular Show, and SpongeBob Squarepants.

Childhood Guilty Pleasure
mrblueanimations29 August 2021
I grew up with multiple shows but this is one that stood out for me.

I consider it as my first ever guilty pleasure considering a lot of people hate it and it is a childish show.

It is nonsensical but fun nonetheless in my opinion. As long as you expect nothing big from it you will enjoy it.

Another French massacre
ersbel12 August 2015
The idea was wonderful. Slapstick a six year old can understand and have fun. Also the short clips were universal as there was no speech. Only the grunts of the rabbits/rabbids. Nothing special, but different than the regular humor clip. Naturally I was quite curios about the series. Yet something changed. A lot. The short, funny clips were replaced by longer less funny clips. Somebody must have hated the rabbits/rabbids. The universality of the slapstick humor is replaced by stupid pointless dialogue that is necessary for the let's call it plot. And while the rabbits/rabbids were funny as design, humans look like crap. Back in the days when computer generated animation was new, that was acceptable. But Pixar and the others have raised the bar a lot. But the intern hiring bureaucrat in charge of this series stands behind the bad choices. So you see a lot of the same three ugly human models. Blah!

Bad Animations and stories without any sense...but not in a good/weird way
patrickfilbeck8 September 2021
It is tragic that so much is focused on video games, the dumbest types of humor and no claim to artistic quality these days. The fact that the whole thing is already referred to by a generation as a "guilty pleasure" from childhood makes it all more than sad.

A show for Rabbids fans
raymanzone-a1133 September 2013
The Rabbids started out as part of the ''Rayman'' video games developed by Ubisoft. However, the Rabbids became wildly popular and thus, were given their own game franchise, as well as viral videos and comic books. This show was produced by Ubisoft Motion Pictures. If you're a real big fan of the games, you'll love the show. I'll be honest, I was very skeptical about the show when i watched the first episode, however, after I watched episodes like ''Stop! No More''! or ''Until Rabbids Do you Part'', I changed my point of view entirely. The show can be cute and funny at times and can be quite appealing after watching a few episodes. However, if you are new to the Rabbids, I recommend you watch a YouTube trailer for a game first in order to familiarize yourself with the Rabbids for a bit

A terrific homage to non-verbal, slapstick humor
dvd727 October 2013
As of this reading there are two posted reviews for this new show. One of them was glowing and given 9 stars. The other person gave it 1 star and said it was the "worst show ever made" and compared it to cancer. It's impossible to respond to such hyperbole but I will just leave it at "this show might not be for everyone".

Fans of physical comedy will see a timeless style of comedy merged with modern settings and contemporary video game characters and graphics. I think of the Rabbids as a larger group of Three Stooges. They can be somewhat mean spirited towards each other but there is a child like playful quality to them that makes them endearing. Their silly antics also wouldn't work if they were speaking a legible language but we see them instead communicating with exaggerated and hilarious, yet understandable body language.

Fans of the video game Rayman may know more about the origins of the Rabbids but there is no back story given here. I am interested to know more about where they came from but honestly, it doesn't really matter. This is a hilarious show and each episode has had me laughing out loud. The only downside I might add would be that this may be geared more towards adults than the children who are the presumed target audience. I hope Nickelodeon doesn't try to alter and ruin the show the way they did Ren and Stimpy or push it out of the way despite a good following the way they did Invader Zim simply because the humor may be above that of their intended viewers. But the quality of humor is one that can be enjoyed on many levels and by numerous ages.

Funnier than First Thought
eugenekrack21 March 2014
When I first heard of the concept based off of a popular video game series, I thought this show was going to be another disaster like Sanjay and Craig and all the other dumb filler Crap Nickelodeon has been providing lately.

Surprisingly, the Rabbids Invasion is quite hilarious. They capture the theme of slapstick quite well and some of the situations are very cleverly executed. And for the Rabbits, they are very cute and hilarious for characters not being able to emote communication through words. Seeing that all the comedy is meant to be action and not verbal jokes, the Rabbids Invasion hold up very well. I'm impressed!!! WATCH IT!

Oh the hyperbole
hroswitha1026 March 2014
First, my family is a big fan of the games. The first and second Rabbids game were total comedy gold, from flinging spit balls at teacher to fart wars across the desert, the game kept my family laughing over multiple plays. The games use a crude and non-verbal humor not appealing to many, but the slapstick quality was genius to me.

The episodes follow in this trend. The designers offer a limited number of settings - the testing lab, the grocery store, the beach, a farm - and most rabbids look just alike. They are mildly malicious, selfish, rude, but I see nods to Loony Toons classic comedy set ups all through the writing and design. I particularly appreciate how all other, non rabbid, characters either ignore the creatures or push them aside, and the rabbids save most of their mischief for each other.

For those who feel this is not appropriate for children - I think you sell children short. So often, books and cartoons showing childlike creatures behaving badly serve children as examples of what they should NOT do. We were reading Shel Silverstein's ABZ book to our son at a young age, and it's filled with examples of bad behavior, all of which he could identify as naughty and none of which he emulated. I can't imagine children would be so facile and dim as to attempt to reproduce rabbid behavior any more than they would recreate the actions of the Three Stooges. It's the same stuff, just packaged differently.

You have to think of rabbids as being like toddlers on their own in the world. Everything is marvelous to them - an empty box, an escalator or elevator, a fly or flea - and they explore their world with hilarious results. Children can understand and respond positively to this approach, and it never preaches or treats them as idiots. Make up your own mind - episodes can be found on YouTube.

Rabbit Mayhem
marosbts26 February 2014
This show is for kids, and as for such, it is not meant to teach them anything. Its meant to be pure slapstick comedy which is supposed to make kids laugh.

And for most of the time the mischief the Rabbids do is really funny and entertaining. Sure, there are parts where the humor is kind of forced and you could almost say that you laugh out of politeness. But then this is outhweighted by those really dumb Rabbids making so funny things that you wet your pants.

So if you as parent want to only give to your kids only shows which have an educational value, steer away from Rabbids invasion. If you want to have some fun, give it a go.

The Best Cartoon on TV Right Now
kriegbuzzaxe12 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This Cartoon was one I had High Hopes for as soon as it was announced because I am a long-time Rabbids video game fan, And it was better than I hoped! From the First Episode on, It has not gotten worse, It has gotten only better. The Title Characters are goofy, and the fact they don't speak any intelligible language (only gibberish) makes them even funnier.

The Rabbids get into all sorts of Hi-Jinks with Smartphones, Farm Animals, and People for example.

Most new Cartoons currently are terrible or mediocre at best(Adventure Time for example), but Rabbids Invasion is Good, Up in the same territory as, But maybe just short of being as the good 90's Nickelodeon cartoons, such as the Angry Beavers. If I could give it a score higher than 10, I Would.

Better than almost all other Cartoons
meowthrulz7722 March 2014
Warning: Spoilers
Rabbids invasion is an amazing experience, with many situations being slapstick, or based around the Rabbids' Gibberish, which makes it hilarious.

On occasion, the Rabbids get into situations that resemble vintage video games, complete with 8Bit sounds and music.

If you like the slapstick moments of classic cartoons such as Ed, Edd n' Eddy, the Angry Beavers, etc. You might like this show. Rabbids Invasion is a modern classic, and the only good cartoon since the end of the Bush Administration.

Few cartoons are of as good of a caliber as the Angry Beavers, but Rabbids Invasion is one of them.

If you want an Educational cartoon, look elsewhere, but if you want some fun, Rabbids Invasion is one of the best.

This makes you want to be a child again!
rubyxxi11 August 2015
I had no idea people didn't like this. It is shown on Australian TV every night at 1 am and I stay up to watch it.

Just think of the stupidest things that might go through your head but were too scared to act out! well, fear no more Rabbids are here to do it for you!

Each episode the Rabbids will share with the viewers silly moments we all envisaged or even cross our minds while sitting in boring meetings, pretending to listen to those who annoy us, etc. It is so universal that there is hardly any dialogue to follow, when there is dialogue the actions speak louder than words

It is important to also give the characters a chance, watch it a couple of times to get acquainted

So open your mind, sit back, and open your mind to the trip :)

Laurel and hardy or three stooges. Situational humor is very good. My 65 year old brother in law who doesn't subscribe to Netflix came over when he found out there are new episodes to watch.

It's DAAAAHHHHHHHsome!!
DatCrazyRater1525 September 2014
I don't care what you haters think, I find this show awesome, or should I say, DAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHsome! This DAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHsome show reminds me of the Minions from Despicable Me, but they're the same amount of hilarious. I loved that episode where a Rabbid got locked in a hotel. He was screaming for the other Rabbids to get him outta the hotel. My all-time favorite episode was where the Rabbids were partying. I also loved the theme song, the silhouettes of the Rabbids running and screaming reminds me of Back at the Barnyard, another funny show that I dunno why people hate it. I dunno why show gets hated too, and why its rating fell from 7.2/10 (Yup, this show DID have 7.2/10 as its highest) to 6.3/10 (At least it's at 6.5/10 now) is something I also don't understand. I now see why people like this DAAAAAHHHHHHHHHsome show, because it's funny, hilarious, and once again, DAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHsome with all the Rabbids screaming like crazy and it makes me and my friends scream crazy like them when we watch it together! 8/10 for this DAAAAAAHHHHHHHsome show!

As of May 30, 2015, we're down to 6/10! I'm really sad to see the rating fall lower. I haven't been on for a long time because my laptop broke after I accidentally dropped it on a hard floor in February (I'm using my friend's laptop at McDonald's) and I'm not allowed to use my sister's computer. One question about the rating drop, is it a spambot making the rating fall? Whatever it is, it's gotta stop. I was right about the other spambots. I'm just letting you know that I'm not dead, but I'm really upset to see the ratings of this, Uncle Grandpa, and Sonic Boom falling. The Mr. Men Show's rating hasn't been falling much, but I'm over trying to ban the haters of it and accepted that people are entitled to what they like or dislike. Hopefully some people who hate this show can learn that, too.
