Take notes, you talentless hacks!

This is the best thing that happened to me this week, and it's saturday already! Very very well made short film. Seeing the flood of lousy and unimaginative trash, it's hard to believe that there is someone who takes the trouble to create art at such a high level. Not to mention that The Chaperone is telling a real story which is extremely entertaining, funny, inspiring, and also endlessly badass. Mr. Munden, mr. Whims, I'm raising my non-existent hat! Awesome effing job!

Creative and funny

Didn't know what to expect from this short cut.

What a brilliant piece of work!

Interesting story (unknown to most Montrealers) supported by an excellent narrator and a great upbeat soundtrack.

You want kung fu? Puppets? They've got it all.

No wonder The Chaperone was the runner up in the short cuts category at TIFF!

Very creative and entertaining.

A must-see.

Expect great things from the Thoroughbread Pictures team.

Awesome, Action-Packed and Badass

Could The Chaperone be the most awesome, action-packed, badass short film in the history of time? I'm not gonna say no here. Excellently using a combination of animation, stop-motion, live-action, puppetry and exploding piñatas, The Chaperone tells the "hand drawn true story" of teacher/chaperone Ralph, DJ Stefan and the-kid-at-the-concession-stand Peter as they kick ass and take names after a motorcycle gang invades a Montreal youth dance that they're watching over. The use of an interview with the real life Ralph and Stefan as the voice-over for the short film only makes it that much more fun. Drop everything you're doing and find a way to see this amazing and unique piece.

a teacher

I saw it being teacher myself and imaginating my reaction in simillar situation. A sport teacher as part of dance night in basemant of church for students.

Motorcicles gang invaditing the location and their bullyies attitude. And , under pressure of situation, the virtues of ass kicker of teacher and his mates, the chairs being more than useful.

But, in same measure like the story, seductive is the manner to tell it, using different, inspired ingredients , the tension being, in smart manner, mixed wit humor.

The result, just a pure charming short animation about courage and about an admirable teacher protecting, in fair - efficient way, his students.
