Rebekah has teamed up with Marcel by going to the group meeting where Tyler is explaining the history of Klaus and hybrids. Rebekah twists Tyler's neck and says she wants to take down Klaus, not the baby.
Klaus uses Joshua, the gay newbie vampire, to gather intel but Joshua is also working with Marcel. Klaus goes to Marcel in the evening where tons of vampires are waiting in the shadows. A coin on the floor is left to anyone who wants to ally with Klaus - they can go ahead and do so by picking up that coin. Klaus kills many vampires and Rebekah finally tells Marcel to pick up the coin because that is the only way to get him to stop. He will everyone here and then Marcel.
Marcel picks up the coin and Klaus is now king. The dead vampires are put into bags and lit up with fire.
Hayley nurses Elijah as he has hallucinations of a black woman in a tub named Celeste. Eve, a werewolf who is Hayley's family, saves Hayley from Elijah and they talk about her background. Elijah's fever breaks and he meets with Hayley and Eve outside the shack.
