The writers seem to have forgotten who owns the company Ewing Global. When it was Ewing Energies, it was owned by Bobby, Christopher, John Ross, Sue Ellen, and Pamela. The company was then taken over by Barnes Global, as another vengeful move by Cliff Barnes. However, Pamela was given one-third of Barnes Global by her father, and Christopher inherited one-third of it from his mother's will. This essentially gave them two-thirds ownership and they forced Cliff out as he was now just a minority shareholder. They renamed the company Ewing Global, and continued to run it alongside Ewing Energies which was now a subsidiary. When Cliff went to prison, he asked Nicholas Trevino to be his proxy in Ewing Global, so the controlling shareholders of the company are now Pamela, Christopher and Nicholas. When John Ross tries to take the company public, there is a vote of all of the Ewing Energies shareholders, but Bobby, Sue Ellen, and John Ross are not Ewing Global shareholders.
