Warning: Spoilers
This episode is full of so many holes that will leave the viewer constantly asking 'Why?' throughout the show. Why, oh why, would the wife deliberately make her husband -a hunter and a man seemingly emasculated by his wife's constant scolding of him like he's a child- why would she insist on having him lock his rifles in a box- a locked box stored in an upper shelf in an outbuilding when they live in a desolate part of Maine (I lived in Maine, and yes you keep a weapon handy in those wooded areas)??? Why couldn't it be locked in a box INSIDE the house?? Why didn't he man-up to her on the gun issue? Why would the daughter insist on continuing to sleep after the mother told her of and showed her these creatures? Why didn't the dad precisely describe what the creature looked like that confronted him outside only a couple of feet from his face? Why didn't they subsequently investigate the hole in the ground after the incident? And finally, do they NOW keep a weapon in their house???

Happy Halloween message makes me take pause.

Warning: Spoilers
I am hoping someone else will have noticed what almost seems to be a subliminal message in the opening credits of this episode. I had taped the episode and when I sat down to watch the opening credits I noticed immediately after the name of the show,"Paranormal Witness" a very quick frame shot across the screen saying,"Happy Halloween" and then the title of the episode,"The Wolf Pack" was shown. It was so quick I had to rewind, pause and go frame by frame in order to read it. It was only shown in one frame and had claw marks with a red background behind the words Happy Halloween. I immediately assumed that it was meant to originally be a Halloween episode and questioned it's authenticity.

As other reviewers have stated there were many holes in the story and I question the "evidence" that was found by the family. What happened to it? They found hair, which they apparently didn't save and tracks they didn't cast.

I would like to know if anyone else saw the message, and if anyone knows why exactly it was there. This episode in it's entirety did not leave me feeling as though this story held any truth at all.

Not believable in the slightest degree

Warning: Spoilers
Too many "don'ts" were done in this supposed tale... For example, if there were five "werewolves" that were 60 feet in front of you, would you venture outside by yourself, especially when you are a gimp, trying to start a pickup truck and back it up to the house to rescue those inside, but also not letting anyone in the house know what you are doing and hoping you are successful all at the same time? All a bit odd sounding is it not?

I've experienced things and have seen things that could not be explained rationally or written off as being my imagination, but this story just does not sit well at all...

Either these people made up a really good story with really bad character reactions/decisions and a lot of luck in the end, or they really did see what they claim to have seen, were incredibly dumb and again, had a lot of luck in the end to survive and live to tell their tale.

HOWL low can they go on this episode

Warning: Spoilers
My wife and I have been binging this show and are only on season 3 episode 11. Have they all been amazing, no. Are they mostly pretty believable and pretty good, yes. With the exception of this episode. I rarely feel the need to comment on any shows and this is in fact our first review of anything on IMDB. We just had to do it and tell why this episode was the worst. 1: The wife should not have put up such a fight when the husband told her to go inside. 2: Why didn't they go right inside when they started to see things, they froze for way too long on the porch. 3: The daughter was awoken and went back to bed but if it was really serious or terrifying, the mom should have kept her awake. 4: The husband who can barely walk wants to go outside without telling his wife or daughter his plan of getting the car and backing it up to get them, ends up dropping his keys , surrounded by the wolves and miraculously survives because the motion sensor light is there weakness. At least now he has a way to protect their family... lights. 5: The wife smartly calls the cops but stupidly tells them there's creatures trying to get in the house. Shocker, they don't come. 6: The husband got yelled at for going outside and what does he do, he goes out again without telling his wife. This time to try and get his gun. He takes 4 limpy steps trying to wave and get the motion detector lights to turn on but when it finally does turn on, he's stuck and surrounded by the wolves. Again, he realizes the light can protect him but somehow leaves the light since he knows he can't reach his gun, walks slowly past all the wolves and somehow survives and makes it back to the house. How did they not kill him then? 7: The wife who is suddenly not angry but instead impressed by his survival skills gathers all the weapons in the house they can, minus the guns they can't get, but that's okay because the husband has made it clear that the light is there greatest weapon....that must have been too easy though, they really wanted a fight, because suddenly all of the lights needed to be turned off (so frustrating). 8: Their daughter was woken a second time and given a knife, she was brought to a room with mom and dad to survive the night. According to interviews with the mom and dad, they heard clawing at the walls, footsteps on the roof, and shadows were in the windows but that's only according to the mom and dad because the daughter apparently didn't have time for this part of the interview because we haven't heard her point of view since her mom woke her up the first time. 9: In spite of all the terror going on around them, they still managed to get a full 8 hours of sleep. Must be nice! 10: Then they go outside the next day to investigate with the son, they found hair and tracks but no photos, videos, or samples of hair were taken. 11: They never talked about the hole or even tried to investigate it. It doesn't say they moved and we got no follow up or activity after. The only believable part of this story was when the wife called the husband an idiot.

too silly

Warning: Spoilers
First of all, other reviewers are talking as if they think this is a documentary. It's a fictional show, though loosely based on an incident in the 1950s.

But yes, it was full of holes. One of the stupidest things was that the guy discovers the creatures dislike light, in fact the motion detector lights saved his life twice. So what do they do? Do they go inside, turn on every light in and outside the house that they can, grab flashlights and spotlights and so on, as would be the obvious thing?

Nope. They go inside, grab hatchets, knives, fireplace pokers, and turn OFF every light in the house. "Here ya go, creatures, come on in. We've turned those nasty light off for ya, to make it more comfortable for you when you kill us."

Sheesh.
