The protagonist was originally named Orysia Rostova. The name was changed only a week before filming when the filmmakers realized that Rostova was too Russian of a name, and opted for the more Ukrainian-sounding Rozhenko.
Severe thunderstorms caused flooding in one of the locations on the morning of a shoot, ruining the filming for both that day and the following. This caused most of the shoot to be pushed back a month.
Features much of the same cast and crew as Larry Ravioli (2012): Denise S. Anderson, Casey Bartolucci, Romain Battaglia, Angel Cardenas, Mike DiLorenzo, Devon Fleury, Orysia Kucher, Jack-Edward, Brittany Moskowitz, and Monica K. Ross. Gabe Rodriguez considered these the "good apples in an otherwise rotten basket" and wanted to show all of them he could actually make a good film under better circumstances.
Gabe Rodriguez first approached Dina Cataldi about playing the lead role ironically not from seeing her actually act but from seeing her interviewed in a promo video for Nightwing: Escalation (2011) and feeling she was believable as a cop, as well as had a very Russo-Ukrainian look. Shannon Kendall, who appeared on the same promo, was also approached.
