Fun season premiere, hope the twist doesn't last

After watching Meet the Queens, I wasn't very excited about the cast, giving the diversity introduced in the franchise by the first season of Drag Race Germany and the 4th season of Canada's Drag Race, plus the fact I'm not from the US so I don't know any of the cast members. But I was pleasantly surprised by the queens of this season premiere. They all have charisma and talent and it was nice to see them getting along. It's so good to have an episode of RPDR US without cheap fabricated drama, refreshing. The special guests where also a nice touch.

The talent show had some very good performances, I was quite entertained and satisfied. The runway also showcased some clear talents. Besides some clear runway gems, the rest were average, but I'm used to. I expect excellence in the runway on All Stars.

Now, regarding the twist and without spoiling things: I wasn't very excited about it, but if they do it just for the double premiere episodes, I am willing to see how it goes. Now, if they keep it, I don't think it's going to work.

That's all I'm going to say for now.

I am happily surprised by these queens, looking forward to the next episode.

Not GRAND enough

After season 15 the expectations for the talent shows are high, so I guess a lot of us feel a little disappointed.

The entrances were fine, the banter as well.

The rate-a-queen twist along with the immunity will probably disappear after the two premieres and I kinda doubt that Sapphira will actually need it. So why even include all of this?

The talent show was pretty mediocre. Sapphira was great, funny and smart. But even though I really love Q, it just wasn't really funny to me and I would've prefered Mirage (Choices?), I wasn't living for Dawn or Morphine, I think Amanda was actually better than the two, even though the edit made us believe she bombed. And Xunami was literally just walking.

The rate-a-queen was over in a minute and we didn't even get to see everyone's votes, neither did the judges talk about them or whatever.

Lastly, the runway was a disappointment. Q, Dawn and Mirage served, Sapphira looked unpolished (shock), Morphine had a bathing suit as her big reveal, Xunami looked fine and Amanda... did that...

Overall I am still excited for the season but how can you give us that after the servington that was S15?

Idk about this episode it was a very insert drag race episode... I think they took the most insert drag queen cast for the first episode and they did an insert 30 second talent show. THE TALENT SHOW WAS TOO LITTLE???? 7 QUEENS BUT ONLT 30 SECONDS EACH????? The runway was bad. I would never do a reveal runway first episode after like 300 reveal looks in 2023. I like the show who you are runway or a basic gown runway because after they said this season would be a looks seasons I know they are liars now... Also the lip sync.... Mother Beyoncé Break my Soul but they just goofed off the lip sync.... I think they need to apologize to Beyoncé because she is never going onto this show after that lip sync. But to the positive. Sapphira Crystal and Q were really good. I laughed at them even with 30 seconds of a talent.
