Lara is this you?

Warning: Spoilers
"Croft" is a 20-minute live action short film that came out for Christmas 2 years ago. And "Action" in live action is very true in this case as writer and director Trevor Addie is an experienced stunt artist and so are his 2 lead actresses in here. A girl is taken hostage by some evil guy, who is apparently head of some evil organization. Too bad they only got the girl and the young woman with her is still free and on the run. Well, she is not really on the run as she tries to free the girl and the consequence are fight sequences from start to finish. It probably gets a bit monotonous at some point, but you could see the experience with the main actress and the filmmaker behind this, so it never gets a drag really. The main character sure looks a lot like Lara Croft as the title suggests, but a dramatic finish and a very smart plot twist at the end take the film into an entirely other direction. Well done. I recommend the watch.

Amazing action short

Croft is a fan short film which is beautifully shot and choreographed. I hadn't gotten my hopes up but I might has well have since Croft turned out to be the best action short film I've ever watched.

In the lead as The Hero we have stunt performer (Supernatural, Arrow, Continuum), actress (Arrow), and YouTube vlogger (youtube.com/nerdzrl) Cassandra Ebner who won a reward for Female Action Performer of the Year for her role in Croft. It was through Cassandra's vlogs that I first learned about Croft and she certainly did deliver a noteworthy performance.

Croft is a stunt-focused action short film with a simplistic story and a very solid feel to it. The film excels in its action and cinematography which makes it an absolute blast to watch. I can highly recommend you watching Croft - and since it is freely available on YouTube you might as well give it a shot.

This movie kicks major ass !! Literally

Its rare i watch short films, sometimes i do for fan film of stuff i like and this is why i came across this right this morning. And as i watched that my jaw dropped !! LOL Lara Croft meet Rambo on Steroid, if you like action, you will be served and its actually very well shot. The acting is surprisingly very good too for this kind of movie, i felt the emotions of the characters. The only guy i felt that came a bit short is the main bad guy, he look a bit too nerdy but his right hand man definitely compensate in the "imposing bad guy" role.

Its short, only 20 minutes, so i won't say too much, but just watch it, if you are a fan of Tomb Raider or just action movies in general, you HAVE to watch it.

I give 9 in the context that its a short fan film, cause i do believe it was VERY VERY good in that category.

I go to the hills for the sound of gunfire...

Hilariously bad. A lame excuse to show a heavy breathing woman kill lots of men on a mountain whilst an incredibly hammy female plays "the hostage" to a specky villain who appears to have absolutely no reason for being on the mountain with 22 mercenaries plus one henchman in the first place! NO character development, just killing, killing and guess what...yes, more killing of token baddies leading to a final showdown between Mr Villain and the eponymous heroine. Oh, yes, the action comes thick and fast in this short film but it hardly explains WHY it happens at all! Leave your brain in the foyer and forget the popcorn, you won't have time to catch your breath....ridiculous.
