The Dexter-planning-to-propose-to-April storyline continues to grate although we do at least get some nicely realistic reactions from Sid and Indigo, while April and Dexter do ultimately make the right choice despite the attempt to overdose on cuteness. The real problem is the way the audience are supposed to see April and Dexter as mated for life rather than not managing to be together for even a year without hooking up with other people.
Meanwhile, Casey's in a sulk.Actually, his character arc seems to be all over the place with him being up and down so much it's hard to keep track.Just to increase the frustrating feeling about this episode, we have Roo and Harvey staging an intervention on Marilyn which isn't at all called for and which they really need to think more about given the amount of trouble Roo caused the last time she muscled into Marilyn and John's friendship.Sadly she hasn't learnt her lesson and so things are awkward again.
