Worth a watch!
anlisy10074 December 2023
I must say, this remake does the 2022 Business Proposal justice! This drama is fast-paced and hilarious... it has its own flair apart from the original version. This 2023 version is based in Hong Kong, so it may have a few jokes catered to the Cantonese-speaking audience, however, I don't think it hinders the enjoyment-factor at all.

Kudos to the cast as they do a great job at their own take of the characters. The chemistry between Timo (Anson Lo) and Hollie (Hanna Chan) is undeniable. The brotherhood and friendship of Timo and Alfred (Edan Lui) is shown especially well here. And I also absolutely adore the grandpa (Kar-Ying Law)!

Highly recommended. Give it a watch if you haven't seen it!

I'm loving it!

I haven't watched Korean dramas before, so I didn't have any particular expectations for this Hong Kong version. I approached it as a light comedy to enjoy after dinner. However, after watching the first episode, I found the story quite captivating, and I'm eager to see how it unfolds. The Hong Kong version has incorporated many local elements, making it light-hearted and amusing. The male lead, Anson Lo portraying the high-and-mighty, narcissistic CEO, performs very well, striking the right balance. The female lead also delivers a stellar performance, and the supporting cast is impressive too. The adaptation includes a lot of relatable elements, creating a light, humorous romantic drama. Overall, it's a highly recommendable series .

Love the chemistry between Timo and Hollie! A Hong Kong version that adds local flavour to the script
crispapplestrudels6 December 2023
I have watched 7 episodes so far and already I am feeling like I don't want this series to end (there are 15 episodes in total so we are half-way). I had a lot of expectations for this drama, because Anson Lo and Edan Lui are two actors I love to watch based on their hugely entertaining and successful remake of Ossan's Love Hong Kong version. This time round, they are cast as the male leads in this remake of a hit Korean drama, and I couldn't contain my excitement. And the great news is, they really don't disappoint! Anson Lo's Timo is a drop-dead gorgeous CEO who is a bit too into himself, while Edan Lui's Alfred is a caring PA who takes care of all the details. They are both playing characters in this drama that are different from roles they had played before, but they play as good brothers in this drama which meant they are perfectly cast as they are best friends in real life, and their camaraderie with each other is palpable through the screen.

What is really impressive is the great chemistry between Anson Lo's Timo and Hanna Chan's Hollie. Hanna had already starred in two of Anson's music videos before, so I already knew that they look great together as an on-screen couple. What is surprising is how well they play against each other in dialogue. Especially in the fifth episode, when they went on that first anniversary date, they are oh-so-sweet together. In the sixth episode, when Timo was fantasizing about unmasking Hollie's double identity at the company ceremony, Hollie absolutely aced the comic timing and pacing. Timo's solo scene when he was realising he has developed feelings for Hollie was also very touching (but me and lots of fans were also distracted by Anson's rippling back muscles in his tight top :D).

I'm really looking forward to watching the rest of the episodes, but at the same time I don't want this series to end too soon. This Hong Kong version has been very thoughtful in the edits made to the script to include meaningful references to the local culture, and to Canto speakers, the dialogue is snappy and full of up-to-date cultural references. This Hong Kong remake version has remained faithful to the Korean version in plot and set-up, but they also infused this drama with local Hong Kong flavour, and as a diasporic Hongkonger, I am grateful for these respectful nods to my home city. I am hopeful that people would be open-minded about this Hong Kong remake version the way they had been open-minded about Ossan's Love Hong Kong version. This is a remake version that does justice to the original version, and we can enjoy and appreciate both.

I will definitely continue to watch this!!

This is a remake base on the Korean Drama Business Proposal from Hong Kong . The two main actors playing CEO Timo by Anson Lo and his secretary Alfred by Edan Liu are both very handsome and the acting was very good . The two main actresses did well too especially Hanna Chan . I can easily felt the chemistry between Timo and Hollie. It was romantic Hong Kong version was filmed adding Hong Kong culture and in comic book style , which is cool and very funny. The pace was faster when compared to the Korean version , which I like . Overall, well made and I enjoyed it very much .

Love this drama

"Business Proposal" is a nice romance and comedy tv drama, I like the scripts and story as well as the actors, especially Anson Lo, he is a CEO and workaholic before encountering Hollie, he loves Hollie at first sight but was cheated by her, she pretended to be her friend for a blind date. Timo cannot forget Hollie so he is very persistent in pursuing her with his sincerity.

I am glad that Anson has been given a chance to be a main actor in this drama. His performance is better than my expectation, he is so into that character and I can't take my eyes off him, besides, Hanna is entertaining, supporting actors are also perform well. "Business Proposal" is a very enjoyable drama, never runs out of steam. "Business Proposal" is one of the best tv dramas this year and I love it very much.

Fun and cute romantic comedy you don't want to miss!
rabbit5717 December 2023
The Hong Kong adaptation of the Korean Business Proposal is a fun and lighthearted romantic comedy that is sure to entertain viewers of all ages.

The show does a great job of balancing humor and romance, and the characters are all likable and charming. The chemistry between CEO Timo (Anson Lo) and Hollie (Hanna Chan) is undeniable, and it is easy to root for them to get together. There is also Alfred (Edan Lui), the CEO's assistant, and Ying Shu (Shirley Sham) play a cute couple but still have a warm relationship. Timo's Grandpa and Team 1 deserve credit for the show's well-developed supporting characters, who add a lot of humor and heart.

One of the things that makes the show so enjoyable is the way it showcases Hong Kong culture. The show does a great job of capturing the city's unique atmosphere and scenery as well as embedding Hong Kong's lingo and humor. I enjoyed this show just as much as the original. It is a great choice for anyone looking for a light and entertaining show to watch.

A hilarious and romantic comedy that you will love!
isabel_usa19 December 2023
Warning: Spoilers
There are altogether 15 episodes, you will either laugh or feel the romance or both in each episode. This Hong Kong version of Business Proposal is a successful remake of the Korean version. Similarly, the story started by Hollie pretending to be her friend and going on a blind date with an aim to scare off her friend's suitor, who turns out to be her CEO, Timo. And surprisingly the CEO proposes to marry her. It's a happy ending in the end, and there are a lot of hilarious and romantic moments in between. The two male leading roles are taken up by Anson Lo as CEO, Timo and Edan Lui as his secretary and buddy, Alfred. They are also the leading actors in the highly acclaimed remake of Ossan's Love from Japan two years ago.

In real life, Anson Lo and Edan are members of the most popular Hong Kong Boy's band Mirror and they are known to be very close. And their magical chemistry helps the development of the story in Business Proposal and easily convince the audience that they are good brothers in the drama.

The love story between Timo and Hollie is particularly sweet. At first their relationship was a fake one, but soon they both realized true love has gradually built up. Timo tries hard to convince grandpa to accept Hollie, at the same time Hollie stays close to Timo to help him face and overcome the trauma and the guilt of losing his parents in the rain. You will surely be touched and cry and smile watching all these scenes.

If you have watched and loved the Korean version, you will surely love this one too. And you will get to know more about Hong Kong especially seeing all the local delicacy and the beautiful and historical scenery like the very romantic Duddell Street where you can find the city's last four gas lamps. It's a very romantic place that you should not miss if you ever visit Hong Kong. It's very IG-able.

Must-Watch Heartwarming Romantic Comedy
beierlvalo31 December 2023
Business Proposal is a must-watch for anyone who enjoys a romantic comedy. It originated from a web drama which was later made into a webcomic and a Korean TV drama. The Viu TV Production Team has remade the drama and preserved the comic style while adding a fine touch of the Hong Kong local culture and customised lines to associate this drama with the actors' personal experiences. Anson Lo (@ansonlht) stroke a well-thought-out balance between the main character Timo's egocentrism as a genius at work and cuteness as a relatively late bloomer in love. Hanna Chan (@hannachanx) played Hollie's shy innocence and Mei Ling's seductive acts with slight arrogance just right. Timo and Hollie's interactions are fun and heart-warming to watch. It's cuteness and romance overload that will surely alleviate some stress from daily life.

My favourite TV drama
sandrachan-849197 December 2023
I love this remake version of Business Proposal. Every actor performed well, especially my favourite artist Anson Lo. Anson plays the role of Timo, and he perfectly interprets the CEO's tough and dominant on the outside, but gentle and caring inside character. Especially in the eighth episode, Timo was caught in heavy rain while driving his car, which evoked the pain and fear in his heart about his parents' death in a car accident on a rainy day. The other main characters are all very likable. In addition, the plot incorporates many local elements and slangs, making it more relatable to Hong Kong. Although the plot of this drama has been slightly modified, this actually makes the plot smoother. Business Proposal is definitely my favourite TV drama in the year.

Love this show
XocapyXo28 December 2023
I rarely leave reviews; however, the Hong Kong remake of the K-drama Business Proposal definitely deserves one.

It is a cute and engaging romance/comedy that got me hooked for nearly a month. It holds a balance of reality, warmth and comedy. It simply just makes you smile. The show is about a middle-class girl who went on a blind date for her best friend and ended up being paired with her very-wealthy boss from work. It might sound cliché but I promise you, the show is more intriguing than it sounds.

The cast in this show has undeniably great onscreen chemistry. I especially love the male leads, Anson Lo and Edan Lui, for how charismatic and expressive they are. They captured their characters well and gave off completely different vibes in the drama. They are perfect for their roles. It's not hard to see much effort was put into the script as well. The jokes are on point and I for sure had a good laugh while watching the show.

Very good adaptation !
gossipboy-371-76924111 December 2023
The same way that ViuTv adapted perfectly the Japanese show Ossan's Love with Anson Lo and Edan Lui in title roles, this new adaptation of Korean webtoon and kdrama Business Proposal is very well done.

It remains very close to the original content while bringing the story to Hong Kong and incorporating local elements.

Anson Lo in the lead role adds more variety of characters to his filmography with a part that is quite different to his previous projects, and Hannah Chan is really shining as she endorses several roles herself in this new show.

I was a bit hesitant on the cartoon aesthetic brought to the opening, flashback scenes and quite present in the first episode, but it is only applied in small touches and appropriately in the following episodes of the series.

Love the chemistry between the main cast
qbcpmgxb18 December 2023
I must say, the vibe of the show was absolutely delightful. It struck the perfect balance between humor and romance, leaving me with a warm and fuzzy feeling throughout.

The lead actor, Anson Lo, did a great job portraying a driven and demanding CEO character which added an interesting dynamics to the story.

His portrayal of the trauma from childhood experiences was both heart-wrenching and authentic. It was incredibly touching to witness his healing journey, thanks to the genuine connection he formed with the lead actress, Hollie.

Speaking of Hollie, her chemistry with Timo was simply electric. Their on-screen connection felt so natural and genuine, making their scenes together truly heartwarming. The way they supported and uplifted each other's characters was a joy to watch.

I highly recommend this drama to anyone looking for a heartwarming and entertaining watch.
