Spoilers

The Parents Guide items below may give away important plot points.

Violence & Gore

  • Likely because of his early symptoms of Motor neuron disease / amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Stephen trips and falls and his face hits the floor. He is seen with a black eye and stitches in the next scene.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The unpleasant effects of Motor neuron disease / amyotrophic lateral sclerosis are a central part of the storyline. The deterioration of Stephen's body is clearly and accurately portrayed, and his near-death from pneumonia, and the tracheotomy that followed, are portrayed as well. This can all be intense.
