Great Film
noahvillanueva27 March 2016
I thought this was a great film. Lots of action, suspense and VERY good. I have never heard of this director but WOW, I expect great films in the future from this guy. This feels like something that not only can , but probably did happen in real life. Bomba was a REAL person I'm sure. That kind of acting can't be done. I'm sure he is a real guy somewhere in Monterrey being a pimp. And the ending was EXCELLENT. All that action and it's just back to normal the next day. WOW. Great job man. Netflix, get it together, your captions were off by like 15 seconds man. Non Spanish speaking people should enjoy this as much as anyone else. Other than that, GREAT MOVIE EXPERIENCE.

A true portrait of drug cartels & Mexican Hip Hop
rodrigoalderete23 April 2016
Warning: Spoilers
This movie is a low budget gem. It is very easy to keep going, the rhythm in the events are great, the language is very funny. In the north of Mexico, a rich boy wants to buy a joint, his friend took him with the dealers in a dangerous neighborhood, the things came out of control and the ride is on. You enjoy the thrill with Cartel De Santa's hip hop. The acting is excellent for non actors movie. There is no pretentious and boring scenes like we used to watch in other films, THIS IS A REAL DEAL. All is a crazy ride, you see that fatty guy "Bomb" asking for some more time to pay the debt to his boss "The Dog". But the high boss is a man who is apparently a politician with all the power. Cartel de Santa, the producers and musicians are a hip hop group starting about 1996 and become famous at 2002 today released about 6 studio albums and 8 compilations. I hope you see this movie because is raw and shows the deep guts of Mexico.
