Predictable but amazingly thrilling.

If you like watching thriller series, this is perfect for binge watching. You will be glued to the story. If you are someone emotional too, you won't forget it. And if you love kids, you will regret not watching it.

If you are new into the korean world coming with the experience of watching high quality British and American tv shows, and that's why afraid ( may be you have looked over the web and have only found out how beautiful ROMANTIC korean dramas are and that unfortunately is not your genre ), don't be because I was once there too not too long ago. This was only my second korean drama.

Father -child scenes were intense.

Like the main lead acting here because it was so evocative that it feels like it is really his own child. The police parts were annoying and the mother of the child didn't help much either in building the characters. It is a one time to watch kind of kdrama.

What a wonderful drama!

I discovered Korean dramas when I watched City Hunter (2011) on Netflix and quickly became hooked. I've seen over 60 since then and now watch a lot more Korean than American TV shows. The great story-telling and acting make reading subtitles worthwhile. Two Weeks is now my favorite Korean drama because it has everything that makes Korean TV so compelling--high stakes, fascinating characters with interesting arcs, fantastic acting, great pacing, and lots of pretty people.

A man living an aimless life one day learns that he has a 7 year old daughter he never knew about. His ex-girlfriend has tracked him down because the little girl has leukemia and desperately needs a bone marrow transplant. When a blood test shows that he can save her life, he suddenly has a purpose for living, but then he is framed for murder because of the way he has been living. He has two weeks to prove his innocence (while being hunted by both the police and a ruthless assassin) so he can save his daughter and redeem his life.

All the main actors are talented and good-looking, but Lee Jun Ki is so outstanding, the series is worth watching just for his performance. He became a super star in Asia in 2005 for his performance as the beautiful minstrel (clown) in the record-breaking film "The King and the Clown." Since then he has been (among other types) a playboy, a delinquent, a secret agent, a Robin Hood-type legend, a journalist, and a Josean era magistrate who can see ghosts. Once again LJK is playing a role completely different from any of his previous roles and creating an unforgettable character.

The Koreans like to give acting awards for Best Couple each year. There are plenty of great relationships in this story, but I wouldn't be surprised if this year saw the first Best Couple award for a father/daughter relationship for LJK and the adorable little girl who plays his daughter. For all the great action and suspense, their relationship is the real heart of this story.

Extraordinary and Exciting Korean Drama
overseer-32 April 2015
Not to be missed, folks! This is so much better than about 3/4's of all the K-dramas I have watched so far, equaling 136 at last count. Jun Ki Lee leaves his pretty boy looks behind him after his military service to get into a modern story of a man who changes dramatically when he discovers he has a biological daughter he's never known about before, and that she is sick and that without his help she will die.

I love the way Koreans have their characters grow and change and reform for the better. Petty gangsters become decent human beings. Fast women reform and become noble. It's very inspirational and you rarely see that king of process on American shows.

The little actress who played his daughter was so adorable I wanted to capture her out of the screen and make her my own daughter! She was perfect for Jun Ki Lee. I always say they are the most loving couple in K-drama history!

TWO THUMBS UP - Another underrated drama! As usual, lower ratings like this series came up one of the best. This kdrama has all the emotions and will keep you entertained til the end. I will not spoil with the story as it is best if you watch it but this is an inspiring drama for the family with everything in it to keep you at the edge of your seat! Kudos to Jang Tae San and the rest of the crew for superb acting. 💯👏

Warning: Spoilers
My favourite Korean Actor in this one and even though I didn't like the preview I just had to watch even though I knew I was probably going to cry a bucket load of tears. And I did!

I don't know if i can go on. I love LJG but I find it tough watching him go through hardships. I've come to the part where he is accused of murder. I know it's fiction but it's so sudden and he has just found out he has a daughter and she is dying. Got to give this a little rest. Maybe come back in a few days or so. So a day hadn't gone yet I started watching again and LjG is so awesome. Story is going well but I hope things are going to work out to how I want the story to go. He such a great actor. His acting just hooks you in and you just have to keep watching When he cries we all cry. Too much! He is so beautiful and handsome. All us fangirls are so in love with him. I have finished watching the whole thing now. All challenges were resolved in the story but the ending was bitter sweet. I hoped for more for our second male lead. He played an awesome role and him and the female lead had so much chemistry. Its like this in real life when we have to work hard for our happy ending. I recommend this drama to all LJG fans and those wanting a bit of crime adventure and romance.

The daughter gave him her favourite stuffed doll to look after because she wasn't allowed to have it with her in the hospital. She called the doll Tingting. The daughter is eight years old and her didn't know he had a child. He's getting tested for compatibility for a born marrow transplant. She will die without one. So he's going through these harrowing, distressing and heart wrenching experiences, trying to keep his body healthy for the surgery. All around him people are trying to kill him his enemies as well as the police. I felt so sorry for him as he was innocent of all the charges he had been charged with. He was so good to all the woman he came across on his travels and the pregnant woman was trying to help him get away. Because she knew he was a good man. Then he was shot and fell into a river and nearly lost his babies toy which was the thing he was most concerned about. He was saved by a man he had refused to kill. Now he's got one shoe and injured and shot. Oh! Someone please help my bae. What a suffering, torture and punishment he has put his body through.

The daughter is so clever like her dad What a charming adorable child actor.

Ryu Soo Young and Park Ha Sun's have so much chemistry in this drama. They totally bonded. They should have had more endearing moments. I loved that he rescued her from the kidnapping. The second and last episode starts to build up the unnerving and scary theme I'm so scared for the Bae and his daughter. He's unconscious and they are taking out his bone marrow but there are double crossing cops guiding the evil doers.

As an actor LJG is so versatile and talented. His skills, fighting, (multi martial arts), swimming (underwater and above), athletics, disguising, baby delivery, intelligent, motorcyclist, driving. He is just the complete allrounder.

Mixed feeling
Giselle171011 October 2020
Recently watched Flower of Evil and now I am on a spree of watching LJG dramas and he's so talented! Did some splendid works. But this one.. I really wanted to like but found it to be too typical..

Crime dramas like this specially with this hair style is such a kdrama cliche. LMH's city hunter, LJS's I hear your voice was like this as well. But Lee Joon Gi's performance was really good and I loved how amazingly his character grew from feeling helpless to a guy with amazing tactics and plans. I wish it had more twists though.

good enough

Warning: Spoilers
Sometimes the preset premise can set a boundary in which creativity is limited. This drama Two Weeks comes close but is able to manoeuvre around just enough to be just good enough.

The premise is about harden weakling ex-con criminal who discover himself being a father of an 8 year old girl, and on top, framed for murder, reinvents and rediscovers himself in 2 weeks.

The intricacy of the plot involves 2 unlikely scheming selfish villains, a female politician and an mob boss vying for one last big deal. Along with this a prosecutor who has been gathering evidence on these 2; the ex-wife of the ex-con, the current boy friend who is a cop, and the 8 daughter who needs bone-marrow transplant.

The 2 weeks, marks off day by day, and the intertwining plot, scenario and relation setup is just complicated enough to build up tension. However, you know the ex-con is not gonna to die, or the seeming dangerous plot points say.. in episode 8 will be escapable. (Since he has to escape until episode 16). But it all works.

It works because the villain is despicable, the melodrama is very cheesy. And acting, although not under nor over, fairly even. And th 8 year old girl is so cute.

There are better dramas, like Phantom, Sirus. But this is not too shabby.
