After wasting my time on 12 anime episodes with a bad ending, I do not think that a rating of 1 is enough. If there was a rating less than 0 to negative 6, this is my rating. It was possible to modify a lot of the anime story to make it better, but unfortunately this is what we got. The severe turns that took place in the anime were mostly disappointing and were not unique in a good way, unfortunately, and I think they are the biggest negative in the anime. Perhaps if it had been made up of 24 episodes, it would have had missing details to make it good, but unfortunately it ended like this....👎👎

I've been playing MMORPG's since the 90's and written machine learning and cybersecurity apps for over 10 years, so you'd think I'd love this. But I think it was forgettable garbage. It felt really cringe to see how edgy they tried to make the story by throwing in irrelevant and nonsensical twists.
The art and voice acting is decent at least, but that can't save this series. The story simply feels like the ranting product of someone who never got over their own family issues, and as such it is uncomfortable to watch. I stuck with it for all 12 episodes, hoping there would be a turnaround or some kind of redemption, but there wasn't.
The last episode was just falling apart. Why do they show her on the bridge with Ichi towards the end (when it's well established she was already destroyed) to then just cut back to the real world where he has his arm back and she no longer exists... again. And that dumb "You're still in the Matrix" nod at the end. They just constantly destroy any meaning and emotion in the previous scenes by adding another that they think will be "a cool twist".
It doesn't help that there's basically not a single likable character in the entire series. The main character is as big a jerk as his dad, his brother is two-dimensional, his mom's portrayed as a no-personality punching bag, and everyone else is either a sociopath or not developed enough to care about.
