Terrible:Vida Guerra Gets Wasted In This Mess
FilmMan4711 March 2015
Warning: Spoilers
this is such a terrible film from start to finish i feel bad for all the actors involved in this and what was John Morrison doing here he should get back to wrestling acting is not his game.

the story is hilarious it is the same old one man show with a new angle every time now in this film a good cop goes against entire corrupt police force by himself.

cheap cgi stunts bad music and lousy performances by everyone hey is there even a script for this may i ask who wrote this and how is this movie allowed to be released this is pure torture on the audience even the lead hero is just muscles and no brain.

when i checked this out i usually like some b movies but this is a x or z grade film to be honest i never cared for the cast but i got mad when i saw Vida Guerra she was playing a role of a cop for those of you who don't know who she is i suggest you look her up online she is a talented model and actress why did she even signed this nonsense.

hey those you-tube fan made films are better then this any day calling this a film is a insult the final climax is so laughable i mean the whole rocket launcher thing on blowing up just one bad guy wow they went too far.

this film is mockery of each and every single police worker out there in the entire world just what were these makers thinking have they totally lost it.

American Justice 2015 has failure written allover it what a shame hey you want real American justice good film with epic American action heroes try bad boys 1,2 those are classics i tell you by the way i am not even American but stay away from this my rating is 2/10.avoid it

Uhhh. Texas border town?
chadfoshee10 December 2019
This was filmed in Oregon. Even the flags in the parade, jackets on people, and people in the plot make mention of Oregon. Couldn't be further from Texas. Silly movie.

Far from worthwhile justice
TheLittleSongbird15 April 2018
Just for the record, didn't want to dislike 'American Justice' and didn't watch it with the intent to be malicious towards it. The concept is an old and tired one, so there wasn't an enormous amount of potential, but it was seen with curiosity because there was a pang of intrigue.

Like what was said with another film seen recently, '20 Ft Below: The Darkness Descending', it was a good thing that expectations were not high because 'American Justice' fails to deliver in many, make that most or even almost every, ways. It is not one of the worst films seen, of its genre and overall. It's not even among the worst of my recent film viewings which has seen a lot of above average to gem standard stuff and just as much wastes of potential.

Vida Guerra is the least bad thing about 'American Justice', she at least tries. This sadly could not for me be counted as a redeeming quality because she is used very poorly with a character that is both underwritten and underused. The rest of the acting, in a film with some truly bizarre casting, is awful, with John Schneider showing no range whatsoever and Tiny Lister being very nearly as limited.

Didn't find anything intriguing, investable or rootable about any of the characters, in a film where the clichéd good versus evil conflict is represented too plainly and far too black and white with no surprises, and the dialogue is both stilted and over-heated. The direction is flat and the music sounded cheap and didn't gel with the atmosphere.

Furthermore, the story, with the already old concept made even more fatigued, just doesn't grab the attention, gets pretty silly to the wrong side of camp and hammy, is very contrived and is not easy to follow at times due to being an under-explored kitchen sink of different tones and ideas. It looks poor, very murky and drab in lighting and filmed with next to no care or coherence.

Action is sloppily choreographed and is even sloppier visually. The ending is ridiculous and there is even a twist that just didn't belong and was one that added nothing to the character in question, was predictable to the extreme even before it came and was not easy to swallow.

Overall, a mess. 2/10 Bethany Cox

embarrassingly bad

Warning: Spoilers
Every cliché in the first 15 minutes just awful. Even a bad movie can be watchable if the characters are at least believable.the long haired ninja cop finished this piece of garbage for me.I have to blame the director I suppose.....the acting was straight out of B movie school....laughable. It's a shame really as the story line could have worked out and it could have been a reasonably good action type movie but alas too much wrong from the beginning.....back to school on this one folks......... Maybe on a cold rainy night with absolutely no choice, but there again...........maybe not..a good book and a large scotch would be better.

Total garbage!
watchmanz-11 January 2016
This has to be one of the worst movies I can recall watching. Poor acting, cliché script lines, and background music at complete odds with what was happening in the movie. The script is so predictable that there isn't a single moment of suspense. Even the lines delivered by the actors were poorly delivered and the scowls on the face were contrived. There have been other movies that follow this plot line and some were dramatic and exciting, but not this one. At no time was I ever "pulled into" the story and wishing for characters to succeed, or anything else. This looks like something a high school class drama class would put together, and I'm sure they wold do a better job. If you're after rubbish non-thinking garbage to watch then you may enjoy this, but if you're after a movie that is truly entertaining skip this movie altogether. Life is too short to have to suffer through this crap.

Warning: Spoilers
Wow what the heck was that?! :)

I might give spoilers, but I don't think anyone can spoil this more than it already is. This movie is just so bad on so many levels, I actually started enjoying it when I took it as comedy. The acting is horrendous, the last scene is seriously laughable absolute nonsense. The only and I mean _only_ good thing in the movie was the lady cop, she was cute. I'm trying to come up with a bad title I've seen in my life, but quite possibly I haven't seen anything like it.. Anyways back to the review.. So I covered the acting.. Storyline: very predictable total nonsense Eh there is no point of analyzing this; straight to the summary:

Summary: Very very bad, don't waste your time.

Entertaining to see Tiny Lister's return
bryanmay2047 March 2015
Very entertaining. It was good to see veteran actors John Schneider and James Russo. This film reminded me of the 80's action films with the disgraced cop on the run theme. Plenty of one liners and OK acting but great warmup movie if you're watching a double feature. One of the funniest quote from this film is from Tiny Lister, he was talking to John Schneider character expressing to him "The problem is you think you got Flipper in here but, m$@#&%¿* say hello to Jaws!" This may be Tiny Lister's first appearance on the small screen in a while and maybe this is a possible reboot to his action genre films..no matter I'll be on the look out for more from Tiny..Hopefully he'll return to the Friday movies when or if they bring it back..most important Welcome Back Tiny!!

Terrible action film is only for Lister, Schneider, or Russo fans
a_chinn10 November 2018
Badly made low-budget crime film with a fun cast doing some serious slumming. Very cool character actor Tommy "Tiny" Lister plays LAPD detective Jack Justice, who on his way through Texas runs afoul local racist sheriff John "Dukes of Hazzard" Schneider. That set-up has the makings of a classic exploitation film, something along the lines of "Black Sampson" meets "Walking Tall." However, this film is poorly written, poorly directed, and would have been rendered unwatchable except for the three leads of the film, which besides Lister and Schneider also includes the extremely talented and extremely underused James Russo as a rogue FBI agent. The fight sequences were respectable and I enjoy Lister in just about anything, although there's one dramatic scene where Lister attempts to "act" and the emoting it's not pretty. Overall, unless you're a die hard Lister, Schneider or Russo fan (which I may be), don't bother watching this film. And don't forget to stay around for the terrible rap music video over the end credits.

As OTT as it gets
kosmasp23 September 2015
Very plain in its depiction of good and evil (although the actions of "good guy" Tonys character are questionable to say the least, Anger Management anyone?), which makes "a character twist" towards the end seem completely out of place. It's not a big one either. Also the mix, between veteran actors and some .. let's say beginners, is a bit crazy to say the least.

John Schneider is really good in this, though you wonder how Tony got in this. Not many expressions he actually have to convey, his emotional range seems to even undermine a Steven Seagal character. The revenge thing or one against all (almost) kind of heads into that general direction too.

You bleed a lot
nogodnomasters17 January 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Jack Justice (Tommy 'Tiny' Lister) is an LAPD police officer who is forced to take leave after he goes berserk over the guy who shot his partner. Jack happens by Red Mesa, Texas a town filled with dirty cops and a sheriff (John Schneider) who makes Sheriff Joe Arpaio look like sissy liberal vomit. While in town he witnesses police brutality and ends up getting involved in cleaning up the town of dishonest cops.

This movie is so bad I enjoyed it. The acting was crap. The plot was idiotic. The cops and dialogue were somewhat over-the-top which made me laugh, especially Lister as he delivers his tough guy lines. Some lines from the film:

Lister: "I'm good at killing." Lister: "I would like to file a complaint." Lister "I am Jaws." Lister "What is Barny Rubble's son's name? Sheriff "I want you to make smores." Lister: "I make problems disappear."

The film opens with a Miami Vice style sound track during a really bad looking chase scene. Eventually we shift to grindhouse style killings and some hand to hand fighting which needed work.

For fans of bad acting action films of Seagal and Austin, there is now Lister.

Guide: F-bomb. No sex or nudity.

Tiny is Super Fun
keli109 March 2015
Sure at first you go 'oh no,'. But these are good actorss so I kept watching and the injustice just got to me so I was hooked to see where Tiny went and found out John Schneider is a bad guy!? So i am watching and it gets fun. TIny, and you know he can, takes his skills out. Very good I thought. A little detail I enjoyed . Tiny shoots a bad guy close up and says bang bang immediately after. Funny. Its a surprise right down to the end. All the cast were good and storyline was intense enough. I like action and this is action plus surprise- I heard some lines that were tributes or hats off to other movies. I enjoyed it. Sure should make a nice set of sequels. Evrryone was good, Tiny is great here. Had to keep remembering 'Tiny loves God' cause he is not very merciful here. Just a character. Good flick!
