Chennai, March 5: Southern filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, currently working with actress Nayantara on the southern remake of "Kahaani" titled "Anaamika", a bilingual, is in awe of her commitment and uncompromising attitude towards work.
"Initially, when she was roped in there was a little apprehension about her commitment in the industry, but she proved all that wrong with her uncompromising commitment," Sekhar Kammula said in a statement.
"I still remember once when we were shooting, I had noticed she had well groomed nails that looked very cute. But I felt her character in the film wouldn't have the time or mood to have such.

Chennai, Feb 11: Filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, who has remade Hindi blockbuster "Kahaani" in Telugu as "Anaamika", says it is always challenging to remake a hit film in any language as it requires adapting to local sensibilities.
"When you're doing a frame-to-frame copy then a remake might be easy to execute but adapting a remake to local sensibilities is always a challenge, irrespective of the language it is being made in. 'Anaamika' is not a frame-to-frame copy of the original, it has been adapted to suit the local flavour," Kammula told Ians.
Nayanthara reprises the role of Vidya Balan in "Anaamika", which was shot in.

Chennai, July 12: Telugu director Sekhar Kammula knows what he wants from his actors and often cans scenes in two takes, says southern actor Vaibhav Reddy, who has teamed up with the National award-winning filmmaker for upcoming Tamil-Telugu thriller "Anaamika", a remake of Bollywood film "Kahaani".
"He will not shoot scenes in more than two takes. He tells actors what he exactly wants before and after every scene. This allows the actors not to waste time from going through same scenes over and over again," Vaibhav told Ians.
Time flies when one is working with Sekhar, he added.
"I can't believe it's nearly 45 days.
