Filmmaker sibling duo Adamma & Adanne Ebo (Honk For Jesus. Save Your Soul) are further cementing their relationship with Disney Television Studios. The identical twins have signed a multi-year overall deal with studios’ 20th Television and 20th Television Animation, where they will develop, create and produce live-action and animated series for all platforms.
The Ebo twins currently have Supashawty Girls, Funkamatic Bangbang in development with 20th Television Animation for Freeform. Adamma and Adanne serve as writers and executive produce with Tiffany Haddish and Melanie Clarik.
The project follows Yeze and Tule when a freak laboratory accident turns the twin college students into dopeass superheroes, and they must learn to manage their brand new super-powered lives with the growing pains of adulthood. Unfortunately for humanity, they’d actually rather kick it than kick butt & save the world.

Nancy Sinatra wasn’t planning on revisiting her old hits. The singer, who ruled the Sixties with dark psychedelic-pop classics like “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” and “Bang Bang,” walked away from the music business in the Seventies to focus on raising her daughters and supporting progressive causes. She stopped touring in the early 2000s, though she’s recorded occasionally since. “I guess I didn’t have an agent, I didn’t have anybody promoting anything,” she says. “If you’re an artist who used to be famous, you...

This certainly hasn't been the most wonderful time of the year for Jessie J. The "Bang Bang" singer recently revealed that she was hospitalized on Christmas Eve with Meniere's disease, an inner ear disorder that can cause vertigo and hearing loss. "I woke up and felt like I was completely deaf in my right ear, couldn't walk in a straight line," she explained during a recent Instagram live, according to the Daily Mail. "I know that a lot of people suffer from it and I've actually had a lot of people reach out to me and give me great advice, so I've just been laying low in silence." Which meant she had to, unfortunately, put her voice on hold. "Now's the...

Dame Barbara Windsor, best known for her roles in EastEnders and the Carry On films, died Thursday at age 83 in a London care home. Her husband, Scott Mitchell, confirmed the death and said she died from complications from Alzheimer’s.
Mitchell said his wife would be remembered for the “love, fun, friendship and brightness she brought to all our lives.”
Dame Barbara appeared in nine of the 31 films in the comedy series Carry On, and Sparrows Can’t Sing, for which she was nominated for a BAFTA.
She also had small parts in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and On the Fiddle, the latter with Sir Sean Connery.
But her biggest role may have been her portrayal of landlady Peggy Mitchell in EastEnders, where she starred alongside Ross Kemp and Steve McFadden. Her last appearance in the soap came in 2016, the same year she was made a dame for her services to charity and entertainment.

Superproducer Mike Will Made It has released a new song, “What That Speed Bout?!” boasting verses from Nicki Minaj and Youngboy Never Broke Again.
The track finds Mike Will crafting a hard-hitting rhythm section on top of which sits a bunch of squirming synths that lend the beat a hypnotic quality. Both Youngboy Never Broke Again and Minaj are in fine form, peeling off plenty of delightfully outrageous bars, with Youngboy even pulling off a clever rhyme of “Forgiato shoes” and “Blues Clues.”

The Hrithik Roshan-Tiger Shroff starrer War released on Gandhi Jayanti last year, and went on to become a blockbuster. Director Siddharth Anand says the fact that he got two big stars on board prompted him to set a benchmark at the box office.
"When the script of 'War' was being written, I was writing it like an English film. It didn't have songs, its language was very new. When I say language, I don't mean spoken language, it is the language of the film, the way scenes unfold. The content of each scene, the way the screenplay unfolds, it was a little complex in terms of the timeline and the way things were moving. It was like a relentless thriller. I didn't know what the palette of the audience would be in two years," recalled Anand.
Anand said that when the film came out, it looked extremely contemporary.

As the streaming wars continue to heat up and get more competitive, a lot of studios must be regretting their decision to hand over the rights to a lot of their biggest movies and TV shows, which puts them at a significant disadvantage in trying to gain a foothold in the battle for subscribers.
Disney Plus is doing just fine given the vast amount of brands they have as part of their ever-expanding portfolio, which has only increased exponentially following their takeover of Fox, while Netflix are relying more heavily on their in-house content than ever as they let the rights to more and more pre-existing stories revert back to their original owners.

In a post-“Despacito,” post-“Old Town Road” music world, it’s not uncommon for artists to give themselves a boost on the charts with the help of a remix. While Lulu Wang’s emotional family drama “The Farewell” may have broken through last year, and upcoming comic book adaptations “Birds of Prey” (by Cathy Yan) and “The Eternals” (from Chloé Zhao) spell fresh opportunities for filmmakers of Chinese descent in 2020, a rollicking little follow-the-money caper called “Lucky Grandma” from first-time feature director Sasie Sealy and co-writer Angela Cheng proves there are plenty more emerging Chinese American talents just waiting for their shot. All it takes is a little good fortune — and the support of a few encouraging festivals, like the Tribeca team that gave this film a boost — and they should be on their way.

Unlike a normal “Got Talent” season when judges can press their Golden Buzzers in any order, “Agt: The Champions” has strict rules in place so that each judge (plus host Terry Crews) has to press their buzzer on a certain day. Needless to say, Simon’s impromptu decision sent shockwaves through the studio.

Somebody sign me up for a girls' night with Demi Lovato, because her badass karaoke cover of Ariana Grande's "Bang Bang" already has me singing and swaying along. In a video shared to Instagram, Demi can be seen absolutely owning the mic at a karaoke bar in Los Angeles, where she performed alongside YouTube star Nikita Dragun during a night out with friends on Dec. 15.
The video was shared just a few days after Demi teased new music on her Instagram account, and we'll gladly celebrate if the album is just karaoke covers of all of her favorite songs. The audio quality on the video isn't the best, but it's clear that Demi is putting her all into those high notes and from the look of it, she's also having a great time. The girl knows how to break it down! Demi Lovato and Ariana Grande are both powerhouse vocalists in their own right, so when the time came for Demi to break it down on the karaoke stage, there was only one obvious choice. The singer showed off her insanely amazing vocals to Ariana's hit track "Bang Bang," which also features Jessie J and Nicki Minaj. When it came time to step up to the plate, Demi knocked it out of the park. The "Sorry Not Sorry" singer looked in her element belting along to the lyrics of the pop hit. It should come as no surprise, because this isn't the first time that Demi has undertaken the task of performing the song for Grande. In 2014, she performed...

Michelle Williams is the latest celebrity to be cut from “The Masked Singer,” meaning that she can finally end her months-long lie to friends, family and fans about her participation with Fox’s wacky singing competition. And the singer hopes that Jesus can forgive her for this trespass.
The Destiny’s Child alum tells TheWrap that she truly doesn’t “know how to lie,” but was forced to in order to keep her big “Masked Singer” secret until she was unmasked as The Butterfly on Wednesday’s episode.
“As a person of faith, you’re not supposed to lie. And I was like, ‘Jesus, I’ve been lying since September and I hope you’ve forgiven me for that, because that’s a good bulk of lying,'” she said.

“The Masked Singer” now has just seven celebrities still in the hunt to win season 2. Four of these — disguised as the Butterfly, Flamingo, Thingamajig and Tree — took to the stage on December 4. They sang for the audience votes and hoped to avoid being the one contestant sent home by the four judges.
Of this quartet, the strongest singer is the Butterfly. She first wowed us with her talent back in week 1 when she covered “Bang Bang,” the hit dance tune by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj. She returned in week 4 with a toe-tapping version of “Livin’ on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi. She was back the following week and floored us with her cover of “Don’t Know Why” by Norah Jones.
We’ve watched these three performances over and over again. And we’ve scoured her clues video to try and figure out just who is hiding inside the Butterfly costume.

We saw Black Widow, Leopard, Flamingo and Panda battle it out to move on in the competition. “The Masked Singer” was a huge hit for Fox last winter because of its intriguing concept: celebrities clad in elaborate costumes perform songs and hope to win over the judging panel and studio audience so that they can move on in the competition. On Wednesday’s season 2 premiere, eight stars sang. The Butterfly opened the show with a high-energy performance of “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
Before taking to the stage, the Butterfly offered up several clues as to her identity. She revealed that she had decided to dress as a butterfly because she loved “flying high.” She said she was “ready to shake up the competition” and echoed Muhammad Ali when she declared she’d “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” However, the Butterfly cautioned that the cumbersome costume could be her downfall, literally. Indeed, she readily admitted, “I just pray that I don’t fall over.

Contrary to what you might be expecting, the number of songs by Jennifer Lopez, Lizzo and Cardi B in “Hustlers,” their newly released acting vehicle, adds up to … zero. Meanwhile, the standout music sync in a movie that’s full of them belongs to no less likely a choice than Fiona Apple.
The scene in question features Lopez alternately bumping and grinding on the floor and working the pole against a backdrop of dollar bills and Apple’s classic “Criminal.” Says music supervisor Jason Markey, “I was very scared because Fiona notoriously says no to everything.” But apparently the singer-songwriter couldn’t say no to J.Lo’s 50-year-old bootie. “We sent her the clip and she approved it, so I would assume she just liked what she saw,” Markey says of Apple. “Maybe she’s not a fan of Jennifer, but when you watch watch her dance, it’s undeniable.

Singer Shilpa Rao is one of the best singers in the Hindi film music industry. You have heard her wonderful voice on tracks like ‘Saiyaan Re’ in Salaam-e-Ishq, ‘Khuda Jaane’ from Bachna Ae Haseeno, ‘Allah Maaf Kare’ in Desi Boyz, ‘Meherbaan’ from Bang Bang and many, many more. With each track she sings, Shilpa brings something new to her vocals, and the layers and emotion in her voice make the songs she sings even more beautiful.
Her newest track is ‘Ghungroo’ from Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film War starring Hrithik Roshan, Tiger Shroff and Vani Kapoor. Composed by the great Vishal Dadlani and Shekhar Ravjiani aka Vishal-Shekhar, the singer once again brings a new vibe and fab vocal to this wonderful track.

The Avett Brothers have released “Bang Bang,” a smoldering preview of their forthcoming album Closer Than Together. The piano ballad finds the group fired up and furious about American gun violence, tackling everything from the presence of guns in movies to the proliferation of assault-rifles used by men “pretending to be Rambo.”
“Conceal and carry your fear,” sings Seth Avett on the sparse track, “Don’t need no weapons here.”
Earlier this summer, the Avett Brothers released a statement accompanying the announcement of their socially conscious new album, Closer Than Together.

Cher and Tina Turner are your top choices for induction into the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Those results from over 1,000 people worldwide are from our recent poll offering you 12 female artists that have been overlooked by voters in recent years. See the full results below.
Lady rockers have had a hard time getting inducted many years, but the 2019 ceremony had both Janet Jackson and Stevie Nicks finally getting in. In fact, Nicks became the first woman to be inducted twice (along with her band Fleetwood Mac) even though many men have had multiple inductions. If Turner gets the call for induction, it would be her second time as well after a selection with ex-husband Ike Turner in 1991.
