Weak. But not unwatchable.
matt_sole-372-2082031 October 2023
The saviour here is a cast of attractive young actors and a sexually charged narrative.

But the actual storytelling is weak and cliched.

The creators of this show had clearly watched Bad Education and Alex Education and thought they could just copy and repeat, but it doesn't work. The story is spread too thing across a large variety of characters with no clear indication what they are trying to go for with the story. The storyline is highly sexually charged, a bit of non-explicit nudity, sexual talk, lots of homoerotic situations... but it still isn't enough to nake it interesting.l

Miseducation is a misfire, I'm afraid to say.

Superficial Characters and weak plot
julieelsbeth15 September 2023
The story centers around a spoilt main character who falls out of favor with her varsity friends due to the mother falling out of favor with the authorities.

I suppose it is meant to be a story of redemption where a young woman goes to varsity despite suffering her mothers consequences.

It's hard to watch a series when the lead actors are not likable at all. The main actor Mbali is really hard to like so I lost interest. She's superficial and mean, a bit of a mean girl. So, with that in mind why would I care to watch the entire series. The characters were more caricatures than fully developed characters.

It wasn't very believable either, I mean who behaves this way. It's a fail for me. Sorry.

JUST HORRIBLE

This the most worst & horrible film I have ever watched. This show is so confusing until you don't know who the main character is or what is the main character plot in the show. This is far by the worst writing for a show. If I wasn't smart enough I would think that first grader wrote the whole story line because the actors are all over place, you don't know who or what the main ideal or purpose of the show. It's like so many main ideals to every character and no understands where they fix in or where the story is going with the characters. The title of the show doesn't match what's the show..

Great story

The comedic timing of this show is amazing! I think it was my favourite part about the show. I was laughing all the way through. This is giving a mixture of Sex Education and Heartbreak high. I cant pick who my favourite character was, they are all so great. The storyline is pretty good and the characters/actors have great chemistry. I love the queer representation too, it was iconic. I really hope there is a season two. I dont know how I am going to wait another year for this one. Congratulations to all the cast and crew, what a massive achievement. South Africa has really been coming out with the goods!!

Warning: Spoilers
The first 4 episodes are amazing but i won't lie I was kinda bored but still interested toward the end. The characters and casting were really good in my opinion. The leading lady is amazing. One thing that has me ready for season 2 is the possibility of Mbali and Suvi being siblings/related. Please tell me that comes back up, that little mention changed so much for me. I'm kinda confused at Aphiwe's actions because yes Caesar was her friend but both candidates where fighting for something that would've benefited her. While I love when series have rich/people with power it gets a bit lazy to know money can always solve someones problems. The ending started off well but ended too fast and wasn't as pleasing.

All how it works: famous girl had it all till she's not. Now she has new place, new people, and burned bridge.. or not?

Mbali is not famous, not anymore, but she finally has friends and a guy who she like more than a friend. Minus: he has girlfriend. Plus: he is one of the candidates in university's election for new president. Minus: he'll not gonna win. But he is so good and this is unfair!

So Mbali decided to help Sivu to win. Plus: his girlfriend.dumped him in the process, no more obstacles, yay! Minus: he still can't win the election.. fair and square.

So Mbali decided to cheat. All for the love, nothing more. Oh, and for the justice.

But till walking to the goal, she forgets what it was about, what she gained and what really matters - friends and love darkens and hides into shadows of sweet wish to been famous again.

It is not like Mbali some villain. She just did things without thorough thoughts about consequences. Like any normal teens do. Again and.. yes - again - rince and repeat. And she is not the only one here like this.

And this is so good focused here. Among political and other issues.
