Solid acting and great production values, camera work and all in this indie project about a teen who needs to pass a drug test in a matter of hours
after his last use since he wants to avoid getting caught again. He uses of several schemes to get what he wants but problems always comes his way and he
needs to be real quick if wanting to not disappoint other people and escape some possible "bad" situation.
Some small problems with the film: it's never explained what's exactly he's avoiding repeating, if it's going back to a juvenile facility, prison or rehab.
Second: an addict group meeting that requires a drug test. I won't go much far on that except that I never heard of such, except rehab cases when one is away from society for a period, which is not the case for the main character. To me, the key issue with the guy would only feel completely honest in matters of applying for a job or if he's a sportsman during competition.
The thematic of the film was greatly presented, very reflective on the topic of drug addicts who are torn apart in the wish to be clean (though the kid isn't all committed to it) or just find ways to resume their substance use thinking they might get everything under control. It's a good film for discussions on the matter. 8/10.
