As the Undertaker announces his retirement, we look back at his Wrestlemania record...
This article is from Den Of Geek Us.
WrestleMania XXX was an eventful show. It calmed the fears of those afraid that it would crash the WWE Network and cause major damage to the company's latest venture. Cesaro broke away from his tag team and broke out by winning the Andre the Giant Memorial Trophy. Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and the Rock hung out in the ring and had a blast. Mr. T and Roddy Piper buried the hatchet. Daniel Bryan went through an endless supply of punishment before being defeating Triple H, Randy Orton, and Batista.
That was a big moment and a major story, but the thing people will be talking about for a long time is the end of Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar. For the first time ever, Undertaker lost at...

The boos will ring out the world over if WWE simply book Roman Reigns to defeat Triple H valiantly and become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion tonight. As a babyface, Reigns has been an aberration, albeit one at the mercy of some seriously mundane booking.
Fans expect more than a simple firework-laden babyface conclusion to WrestleMania this year, and there’s only one solution. Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker is the scenario with more intrigue, so that must go on last. Hell In A Cell is still a stipulation taken seriously by fans, and there’s the feeling that something big is going to happen in that match.
There must be big bumps, there has to be blood, and every match on the card must hit a home run. People also expect more than mere ‘Guest Host’ roles for the likes of The Rock and Steve Austin.

Fan response to Roman Reign’s recent Raw return should have been huge. This was WWE’s (supposed) top babyface coming back to extract revenge on WWE’s (supposed) top heel, but the segment didn’t feel that way. Those in attendance were tepid towards Reigns, and that has been a problem since the company decided it was going to strap a rocket to his back and push him to the moon.
Contrast that with Shane McMahon’s comeback, and it shows just how little the core fan base cares about WWE’s pet project right now. For Shane, a WrestleMania bout against The Undertaker looms in the distance, and whilst it’s an enticing prospect, the question must be asked where the story goes after that particular Hell In A Cell bout. People did react to Shane’s WWE comeback, but that will feel like old news...

Smart marks. Internet marks. Intelligent dupes. Neck-bearded keyboard warriors. Ready with their battle cries of “I told you so” and “why do you hate your fans?!”. They’re like this most years, of course, but this time is special.

Down the other lies a cruel bait-and-switch and another decade of corporate prescriptivism. Guess which one The Smarks are expecting.

When the stadium has emptied and after venue staff have cleaned up plastic cups and garbage aplenty, literally millions of people will go to bed thinking about WWE’s WrestleMania. The annual pay-per-view draws in more affection for pro wrestling than any other event, it’s the one show each year that has such an incredible atmosphere surrounding it.
Credit where credit is due, WWE have managed to foster incredible excitement for ‘Mania. Yet, it will all wash away should people go away from the event feeling it was lacking even slightly. WrestleMania simply must be a proverbial home run for the company, the rest of the year perhaps depends on it. That’s something the promotion must be wary of, because they have booked themselves into a corner slightly with the show.
It’s expected that Roman Reigns will once again headline ‘Mania, this time opposite Triple H.

Despite some reservations heading into the pay-per-view, WrestleMania 31 actually turned out be a very enjoyable event.
There were grumbles after the show had finished, mainly with the fact that Triple H managed to defeat Sting, along with John Cena’s WWE United States Title victory over the emerging Rusev.
This year, the big marquee matches are pretty damn varied.
First and foremost, Roman Reigns goes into his second consecutive WrestleMania main event, this time against Triple H. After losing out on the WWE World Heavyweight Title last year, it looks like 32 may just be Roman’s lucky number this time around.
In other bumper collisions, Shane McMahon will face The Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell encounter. The fate of Monday Night Raw hangs in the balance, which may just lead to the return of a long-discarded system that’s perhaps ready for a return.

The WWE Raw ratings were a mixed bag of news for WWE this week. Yes, the overall number was down again, but there was some good news mixed in with that negative. The third hour of the show was actually the most viewed hour this week, bucking the trend of it being the least viewed for months on end.
This week’s edition of WWE Raw averaged 3.458 million viewers. Viewership decreased compared to last week’s March 7 edition of Raw which averaged 3.551 million viewers, but the third hour being the most watched was the first time that this has happened since last July.
The hourly viewership breakdown in week’s WWE Raw ratings were as follows:
First Hour: 3.471 million viewers
Second Hour: 3.392 million viewers
Third Hour: 3.510 million viewers

By the time the coming episode of Monday Night Raw comes and goes, WWE will only have 2 more episodes with which to work before WrestleMania 32. This fact makes each passing week crucial. Although the promotion do have Smackdown television time on their side too, Raw is the flagship program and must continue to develop the various stories.
The key stories obviously revolve around The Authority. Not only will Roman Reigns have to return at some point over the next few weeks, his comeback must feel weighty and important. His opponent come ‘Mania, Triple H has been sidetracked by Dean Ambrose recently. WWE must get back on track with his rivalry against Brock Lesnar.
Crucially, the promotion are also pushing the idea of Shane McMahon being a dangerous prospect for The Undertaker. That’s a tough sell, regardless of how many extras Shane beats up on TV. There is intrigue there however,...

Mick Foley has told Sports Illustrated that he’ll try to add some excitement to WrestleMania 32.
“There is a rumour that I will be participating in the show,” he said. “I’m not sure how just yet, but I’ll try to add to the excitement of WrestleMania.”
He isn’t denying the rumours, and by fanning the flames, it could be the case that he’s already booked for a surprise appearance on April 3. With it being the biggest Mania of all time, it would make sense for him to be there alongside all the other big legends who are coming in. The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin are already confirmed, and Shawn Michaels is also expected to have a part. There’s even talk of Hulk Hogan being back for the night.
For Foley, it could be something as small as comedy skit backstage. Alternatively,...

The Undertaker won’t be appearing in WWE again until WrestleMania 32 on April 3rd.
He isn’t advertised for any further Raw or Smackdown shows, although the company could always draft him in if they felt the need.
As for Shane McMahon, he’s advertised for the March 7th Raw and March 28th Raw.
With limited appearances on both sides, and with no face to face segment, the whole storyline is in danger of being under developed. The feud is less about Shane versus Taker and more about Vince McMahon at this point. Both segments so far in the story featured Vince as the manipulative heel.
The problem is, by not sufficiently developing a personal animosity between Shane and Taker, the Hell In A Cell match at Mania may end up feeling a little flat. The gimmick is usually built around deeply personal character feuds, but this match...

It was legitimately shocking to see Shane McMahon return to the WWE mix on the last episode of Monday Night Raw. Coming out of Fastlane, the company needed something big to stem fan complaints over a Roman Reigns victory in the main event. Last week, the writers handed those detractors the return of Shane and the lasting visual of Triple H battering Reigns into a bloody pulp around ringside.
There’s just one problem, and it’s how the promotion follow up on last week’s blockbuster broadcast. It’s one thing to write an excellent first chapter, but the coming edition of Raw is where the real thought must now go. In other words, what does The Undertaker have to say about a proposed Hell In A Cell bout against Shane McMahon for WrestleMania 32? Also, what’s the next move with Reigns?

When fans dreamed of WrestleMania 32, they imagined matches like Steve Austin versus Brock Lesnar, Sting versus The Undertaker, and Seth Rollins versus Triple H.
Nobody imagined Shane McMahon versus The Undertaker.
Both as a match and a narrative, it makes very little sense. Shane McMahon versus The Undertaker inside Hell In A Cell at WrestleMania? Just writing it feels surreal. WWE have boldly gone in a direction that nobody saw coming, with not even the industry insiders believing this would’ve been an option.
The original plan had been John Cena versus The Undertaker, and even a week ago, Cena was still indicating that he had hopes of making it back for a match at WrestleMania.
But Raw this week was Cena’s deadline, and with his recovery still way off, WWE pulled the trigger on Shane McMahon against The Undertaker. The story is that Shane’s back to challenge The Authority,...

So, as you might have noticed, I've missed a couple of weeks. True to form, since I mentioned my on-again/off-again love/hate relationship with pro wrestling in my first column, I couldn't even work up enough inspiration to follow up my initial column on the subject. I was going to write about it every Wednesday night throughout the Road to WrestleMania, and my interest wasn't even sustained long enough to make it to Week 2.
Until tonight...
I caught some of last night's WWE Fastlane pay-per-view, and I had some interest in how Raw would follow things up. Still, I was just going to wait until my wife went to sleep (we're currently watching HBO's The Wire. Yes, I know. We're very, very behind), then skim through Raw on my DVR. But then I suddenly got a series of texts from one of my best friends that made me have...

During what overall was a pretty lacklustre edition of WWE’s Monday night Raw, the most memorable point came about halfway through the show when the United States Championship belt changed hands in what was the best match-up of the night.
U.S. Champion Alberto Del Rio defended his belt against Kalisto. Following a non-title match victory over Del Rio last week during the inaugural edition of WWE SmackDown on the USA Network, it seemed as though Kalisto was in-line for a title shot. WWE teased that a title match might take place in their official “Five Point Preview” for Raw before Monday’s show, and the match was officially announced during the broadcast.

Hell In A Cell has become synonymous with The Undertaker over the years, and so it was fitting that 2015’s annual event was the place to finally bring his feud with Brock Lesnar, who lest we forget ended the Phenom’s legendary 21-0 streak at WrestleMania XXX, to a conclusion after their previous rematch at SummerSlam.
Whereas Lesnar arguably defeated a sub-par Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, their SummerSlam rematch, which saw the Dead Man take the equalising victory by way of a low blow, was a much better affair, and their third and (allegedly) final and deciding bout in Hell In A Cell was entertaining but won’t make any future top ten Hiac match round ups.
Much better was the second Hell in a Cell bout between current WWE golden boy Roman Reigns and big bad in waiting Bray Wyatt, with both men bringing their A-game and delivering a...

The recent winner of the Slammy Award for Diva Of The Year, Nikki Bella has been sidelined from the ring for over two months.
Having last wrestled at the October 26th edition of Raw (the night after Hell In A Cell), Bella has been recovering from what had been reported as a back and neck injury.
According to a new report from Dave Metlzer of the Wrestling Observer, Bella is now spending her time awaiting an evaluation on her condition, due the end of January. At that point, medical personnel will be able to advise Nikki on if she needs further medical intervention. At that point, they will be looking at possible surgery to repair bulging discs in her neck, a procedure that would likely keep her out of action for many more months. If surgery is not required, Bella’s return could come relatively quickly following the January evaluation.

During Monday night’s broadcast of WWE Raw, the television return of John Cena was officially announced for next week’s show from Brooklyn, NY.
Cena will return to face WWE United States Champion Alberto Del Rio in a rematch from the Hell In A Cell PPV on October 25th, which marked the last time we saw Cena. His last appearance on Raw was on October 19th.
Cena’s absence came about abruptly when he was defeated by a returning Alberto Del Rio at Hell In A Cell, losing his United States Championship in the process. Del Rio’s return was an un-announced surprise during the U.S. Title Open Challenge segment.

His most notable stint was as Raw General Manager from July 2013-May 2014 after initially making an impact as a crooked referee who screwed Ryback out of defeating Cm Punk for the WWE Title at...

Brad Maddox was officially released from his WWE deal on Wednesday afternoon following a five year spell with the company.
Maddox originally signed with the organization back in 2010 following a successful stint with Ohio Valley Wrestling. He spent his first two years with WWE working in the Florida Championship Wrestling (which eventually morphed into Nxt) developmental territory.
Maddox was brought up to the main roster in 2012 as a heel referee. Though he did appear on television as a referee prior to Hell In A Cell that year, it was at that particular PPV where he became a recognized character in WWE. During the main event match between WWE Champion Cm Punk and Ryback, Maddox low-blowed Ryback and used a fast three-count to help Punk retain his title.

Photos and details are starting to emerge from John Cena’s new reality television show.
Titled ‘American Grit’, the show will air on Fox in 2016, as a ten episode military themed competition. Cena is playing the host duties, in a move that will further integrate him into the mainstream and provide a basis for a career beyond pro wrestling. At 38 years old, he’s smart to start transitioning into other areas of entertainment, although he does undoubtedly have a few solid years left with WWE.
As you can see from the photos, Cena is working alongside Navy Seals. The military has always been something that Cena is passionate about, and he tweeted this past week saying “Life as a traveller sure makes you miss home, but it’s truly comforting when complete strangers treat you like one of their own.”
He’s also provided further details on the show,...

The ever-changing landscape of pro wrestling means that fans learn something from virtually every single show. That was certainly the case on the latest edition of Survivor Series. WWE’s creative team had their hand forced by an unfortunate injury to Seth Rollins during the recent UK Tour. The scheduled Rollins vs. Roman Reigns match had to be cancelled, and a tournament was booked to culminate on the Pay-Per-View instead.
It seems that WWE’s original plan was mimicked even after the card had been restructured. There had been rumours that Roman Reigns was going to walk out of the show as WWE World Heavyweight Champion, but the promotion decided to throw in a little curveball to try and make the end of 2015 interesting.
Going into the event, there were also questions over exactly what would happen during The Undertaker’s big appearance. The undoubted focal point of the show’s promotional materials,...

Former WWE Divas champion Nikki Bella is taking time off from WWE with an injury. She posted an update to Twitter “My home 4 awhile. Injuries can only keep u down 4 a little bit. Time 2 get stronger & Stay Fearless! #FearlessNikki”
Alongside the text was a photo of a gym and a massage bed. There’s no confirmation of what the injury is, or how long she will be out of action, but the timing isn’t surprising when you consider her boyfriend John Cena is also taking some time off from Raw. This is an opportunity for them both to heal up and have some quality time together as a normal couple.
It is a shame to see Nikki gone, as she had only just hit her form as a women’s wrestler. Both in the ring and her overall act, she’s been vastly improved in recent months. Indeed,...

With WWE’s Hell In A Cell network supershow in the bag, it’s time to look forward to the thanksgiving tradition that is the Survivor Series. The last ‘Big 4’ pay per-view of 2015 comes to us on November 22nd from Atlanta, Georgia. Now, trying to predict WWE’s booking is tougher than a rubix cube given their notion for changing plans on a weekly basis but I’m gonna give it a go.
If you were a kid from the 1980’s then you might have grown up on Survivor Series shows being exclusively 8 or 10 man elimination style matches. WWE would do this for years but the buy rates for the show were always a little lower than everything else so in the mid 90’s, Vince and company decided to have one or two elimination matches a year and fill out the rest of the card with title bouts and grudge matches.

Hell In A Cell 2015 was an important point in WWE’s PPV timeline. Sandwiched between the ultra-popular SummerSlam and Survivor Series, it served as an important ‘gimmick-centric’ show between two of the Big Four PPVs. It was also crucial for WWE to move ahead with current storylines in order to build Survivor Series as a major show.
Needless to say, the show was interesting in its own way, with many of the eight matches providing entertainment value or talking points.
Here are the full results:
Pre-Show match: Dolph Ziggler, Cesaro and Neville defeated Rusev, King Barrett and Sheamus following a Red Arrow from Neville onto Barrett
U.S. Championship Match: Alberto Del Rio (yes, you read that right) defeated John Cena with a kick to the face to become the U.S. Champion
Hell in a Cell Match: Roman Reigns defeated Bray Wyatt following a Spear

WWE Hell In A Cell was an okay show, which managed to hit the “very good” levels for the two main cell matches. It was a night in which titles changed and narratives closed, meaning the company has moved forward to a fresher looking future ahead of Survivor Series.
Several wrestlers can now look forward to new horizons in the short and long term, with the Cell also laying some ground work for April’s WrestleMania. As for the shorter term, several of WWE’s booking choices were designed with a rejuvenating effect in mind. The hope internally will be that changes made at Hell In A Cell will result in new intrigue for Monday night Raw.
The ratings in recent weeks have desperately needed a boost, so Hell In A Cell was designed to re-shuffle the deck a little. In several key areas, the future now looks that little bit different,...

WWE Hell In A Cell is one of those PPVs that people always have pretty high expectations for. The event’s namesake has a pretty legendary brutal history, anyone that has witnessed a match in the cell knows that it isn’t about half measures, it’s simply about destroying your opponent.
The hype around this year’s event was no different. Sure it seemed like a bit of a predictable card, Seth Rollins going up against Demon Kane was the most obvious result waiting to happen and the evening seemed to be dedicated to the idea of rebooting a bunch of feuds we’ve already been dragged through (some admittedly better than others). But that didn’t mean it wasn’t worth tuning in for.

The Undertaker is most likely headlining Survivor Series with a team of wrestlers against The Wyatt Family. The angle at the end of Hell In A Cell, with the Wyatt Family beating Undertaker up, clearly set the scene for next month’s special. Earlier in the show, WWE had advertised that Survivor Series will be built around Undertaker. It will be a 25th anniversary special, commemorating his debut at Survivor Series 1990.
His partners will most likely be Kane, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. They’ll go against Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan. Presumably it will be traditional elimination rules.
What could be the case, is that WWE use the event to set up the long rumoured Undertaker Strowman WrestleMania match. It would come down to Taker and Strowman at Survivor Series, with The Black Sheep destroying Taker. The Deadman would then return to get his revenge at Mania.

There was a backstage commotion in WWE’s gorilla position during The Undertaker versus Brock Lesnar, Dave Meltzer is reporting on Wrestling Observer Radio. This was most likely over the fact that Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker were bleeding.
The blood loss came via a hardway, there was no blading involved. However, it did look like both men did bleed intentionally, they went after the hardway cut.
Although there was a “commotion”, it isn’t too likely that Taker or Lesnar will be in too much trouble. They are on huge money and Vince McMahon wants to keep in good graces with them.
“There was stuff going on in the back, there was a commotion in the gorilla position,” Meltzer says,”but Lesnar isn’t going to get yelled at like he’s a Dolph Ziggler. There was no blade involved.”
“Vince freaked out, Kevin Dunn freaked out,” Bryan Alvarez added.

To the shock of many on Sunday evening, former WWE World Champion Alberto Del Rio made his return at Hell In A Cell to challenge John Cena for the U.S. Championship.
Del Rio had been rumored to be in discussions with WWE concerning a return for the past several weeks but nobody suspected they were this far down the line in negotiations.
Del Rio was released from his WWE contract last year following a physical altercation with an employee backstage. Del Rio claimed that the employee had made racial slurs directed his way, so the fact that Del Rio was the person released had garnered WWE some negative attention.
Since his exit from WWE in 2014, Del Rio had wrestled in Mexico, as well as for Ring Of Honor Wrestling and Lucha Underground.

WWE Hell In A Cell 2015 is now in the history books, and the collective pro wrestling world now looks forward to what might happen at Survivor Series. The annual Pay-Per-View will take place on November 22nd, some 25 years on from the debut of The Undertaker. Fittingly, ‘The Deadman’ played a huge role in Hell In A Cell. Not only did he face Brock Lesnar in a thunderous Hell In A Cell encounter, but fans learned what the legend’s future holds in store.
That’s what this article is all about, those things that people could take from WWE’s latest Pay-Per-View offering. All in all, there were 8 matches, including the one found on the pre-show ‘Kickoff’ portion of the event. The main event between Lesnar and Undertaker wasn’t the only worthwhile collision, and the PPV even found room for a shocking return that few people can claim they saw coming.

There were 2 Hell In A Cell matches at the WWE Pay-Per-View of the same name. In one, Bray Wyatt faced Roman Reigns. In the other, a battle for the ages was promised as Brock Lesnar once again locked horns with The Undertaker. It’s been 13 years since the pair last met inside the infamous structure, doing so at the No Mercy event in October, 2002.
On that night, Brock Lesnar defeated ‘The Phenom’ to retain the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. The result was the same at Hell In A Cell in 2015, although the match was a little shorter than the aforementioned war from ’02. Back then, Lesnar and ‘Taker went just over 27 minutes. At Hell In A Cell, they went just over 18 minutes, which means Reigns vs. Wyatt – at 23 minutes in length – was actually the longer bout.
Thankfully, regardless of time limits, both matches were awesome. That word, awesome, is what is focused on here.

Hell in a Cell is a pay per view that has spawned some classic WWE matches over the years. But since the end of the Attitude Era, and in particular the more “hardcore” style of wrestling, the idea of two men fighting in a cage seems to have lost steam within the company. Especially in the current PG-era of the WWE, where brutality is no longer favoured. But that’s not to say the event can’t still shock – and this year’s PPV in particular held a surprise that would leave fans stunned during the very first match.
As always Spoilers if you haven’t seen the PPV yet…
Kicking off with the usual pre-show, Hell in a Cell 2015‘s kickoff match would be a six-man tag featuring Neville, Cesaro and Dolph Ziggler versus the “evil trio” of Wade Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev. Although it would be Sheamus, Neville...

WWE made a big deal out of the fact that the likes of Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels would be appearing on this past Monday’s edition of Raw. Sadly, as the ratings would prove, these legendary figures did absolutely nothing to ease the ratings pain the company have been experiencing recently. Steve Austin also showed up, opening the program, but even the mighty ‘Stone Cold’ didn’t really help matters.
The truth is, exactly zero of the 3 iconic wrestlers did anything of any real note on the show. Indeed, the trio were only really there to introduce what was coming up on each hour of Raw, as well as try in vain to hype the upcoming Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View. Aside from Michaels trading barbs with Seth Rollins briefly, the legends proved to be little more than empty promises for something better.

Professional wrestling is in somewhat of a funk. Ratings are down on all of the national shows and in some cases those numbers are at record lows. Despite the best attempts by promotions like WWE to place some of the biggest stars of wrestling’s past on our screens, interest just hasn’t picked back up. Many fans that were watching even just a few short years ago have moved on from wrestling, if the Nielson numbers have any truth to them.
For those of us still tuning in on a regular basis, there’s plenty to get excited about. Many of the wrestlers who continue to enter the squared circle week in and week out are working hard to give us the entertainment that we crave. Luke Harper is in Los Angeles this weekend and could work Sunday night’s WWE Hell In A Cell pay-per-view, according to a report at PWInsider.
Harper had missed all of last week’s TV tapings for personal reasons. He was originally scheduled to team up with his fellow Wyatt family member Braun Strowman in the WWE Hell In A Cell pre-show match to face the team of Randy Orton and Dean Ambrose, however, that match was cancelled and replaced due to the severity of Orton’s injury.
With Bray Wyatt facing Roman Reigns in one of the marquee matches of the pay-per-view, Harper could end up appearing for a run-in or ringside for support, though that’s pure guess work and it’s not known if Harper will or won’t be used on the show.

The Undertaker and Brock Lesnar won’t be appearing for WWE beyond this Sunday’s Hell In A Cell, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting. It is the last booking for both men, and presumably they’ll return to fresh feuds in WrestleMania season.
There had been speculation that The Undertaker could be open to working more dates this year. There had also been speculation that WWE would draft in Lesnar for some more work, given that the Raw brand is going to be without John Cena and Randy Orton this November.
But it now looks like neither Lesnar or Taker will be coming back this year. That means November is looking very flat in terms of star power. There’s plenty of talented wrestlers, like Seth Rollins, but does he have the star power to carry the franchise? Only time will tell. Raw ratings are already terrible...

Hell In A Cell has a history of big moments, but it is getting harder and harder to make the gimmick memorable in the PG era. With performers unable to get colour and being limited in what big spots they can do, many Hell In A Cell events have ended up passing by as instantly forgotten shows.
But this Sunday has to be different. With WWE looking to make an impression on Network subscriber numbers, there’s a sneaking suspicion that they’ll book some major shocks this weekend. The following are some of moves they could pull in trying to make the 2015 Hell In A Cell show memorable.
11. Rollins Vs Kane Is Made A Cell Match WWE.com
One of the biggest failures in the build up to Hell In A Cell has been the promoting of Seth Rollins and Kane. Their WWE title match feels very flat.

WWE head into Hell In A Cell this weekend feeling a little battered and bruised. They wheeled out some of their biggest legends this past week on Raw, in addition to throwing together a Shield reunion. Guess what? The ratings still sucked.
To be fair, they had strong sports competition on the other channels. But to have names like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Undertaker on Raw without any impact, it shows just how bored the audience are right now. Unsurprisingly, there’ll be more on those bad ratings during the Q and A this week.
Subjects also covered will include a heel turn for a major star, and the winner of the Royal Rumble. Let’s get straight down to business!

Another month, another WWE special event. Hell in a Cell is entering its 7th year, emanating this year from Los Angeles with a main event consisting of Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker doing battle for the final time in the demonic structure. There will also be another Cell match, as Roman Reigns and Bray Wyatt continue their never-ending blood feud. The cell represents their final chapter.
But what of the six Hell in a Cell events that have preceded the 2015 edition? The cell match itself has main-evented all six to date, with matches varying from D-Generation X taking on Cody Rhodes and Ted Dibiase all the way to Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose continuing the implosion of The Shield last year.
Who have been the major winners and losers over the years? Last month we learnt that Daniel Bryan is undefeated at Night of Champions, how has he...

We’re mere days away from WWE’s Hell In A Cell event on the WWE Network and anticipation is growing for the main event billed as the “Final Battle” between The Undertaker and the man who ended his 21 year winning streak, Brock Lesnar. The WWE product hasn’t exactly been firing on all cylinders recently but fans are still intrigued and excited about the climax to this feud, especially with it being held inside WWE’s most demonic structure.
Long before Hell In A Cell was an annual pay per view event, it was a match to end the most brutal of rivalries. The concept of structure with a roof to house a wrestling match was created in 1997 by Jim Cornette as a throwback to the old cages in Memphis but with a modern twist, Cornette pitched this as the way to introduce the Kane character at Badd Blood.

John Cena is scheduled to defend the United States title against Sheamus on the December 26 house show at Madison Square Garden. This will be Cena’s first match after temporarily leaving WWE following this Sunday’s Hell In A Cell show. Also announced for the show, is Kevin Owens versus Dean Ambrose with the Intercontinental title on the line.
Cards are always subject to change, but they do sometimes reflect the feuds that are pencilled in. Ambrose and Owens sounds like fun, but Cena and Sheamus? That’s a feud destined to die a boring death. It has been done before, and it is almost like WWE are trolling the fans by booking it.
Notice as well, the Garden is advertising Cena to be defending his Us title. That could just be a swerve, it could be updated at a later date, or maybe it is an indication...

Following The Undertaker’s successful tour of Mexico house shows, there’s speculation that he could be added to the November UK tour. Dave Meltzer has reported that the fifty year old is open to more dates this year, following on from his return to full fitness and top form.
Furthermore, the UK tour is looking very weak, with John Cena taking time off from WWE. A suitable replacement is needed, and so far, WWE have only added Kane and Ric Flair. A bigger franchise name is needed.
WWE are perhaps waiting for Hell In A Cell to get out of the way, and then they’ll sit down with The Undertaker to discuss what’s next. It wouldn’t be that much of a surprise if he did end up on the Europe tour. He’s always talked about a sense of obligation for doing what Vince McMahon asks of him.

John Cena will be defending his United States Championship against a mystery opponent at WWE Hell In A Cell. It was announced on Raw that it will be a Us Open Challenge on Sunday’s show, meaning that we could be in a for a major surprise.
This list will rank the ten most likely contenders that WWE could book in the challenger spot. We know that away from the storyline, Cena is due to take two months off immediately after Hell In A Cell. That means a title change is very likely to occur. The mystery opponent taking up the Challenge, is almost certain to walk away as the Champion. It is a huge spot for somebody this Sunday.
The style of booking is interesting. On the one hand, not advertising an opponent for Cena is weakening to his draw level. It doesn’t feel like he...

The Undertaker is set for a big closing angle on tonight’s WWE Raw. The idea is to sell viewers on this Sunday’s Hell In A Cell, but also to pop some viewers for Raw’s flagging numbers. Brock Lesnar is also booked on Raw, meaning the show could be going off the air with The Beast and The Deadman coming to blows.
Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels are also booked on the broadcast. The plan was for the pair to discuss the Taker Lesnar cell match in a roundtable type angle, but Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio wasn’t so sure if that angle may have been changed. That sort of segment would usually need three people. Stone Cold Steve Austin was originally scheduled for the show, but plans have since changed and he’s now only advertised the Network Podcast afterwards.
Whatever happens, it should be an exciting show,...

Tyler Breeze is now considered a WWE main roster star. He worked a dark match at the recent Smackdown taping and has also been taking part in live events. Dave Meltzer reports that the former Nxt star should be on the televised main roster very soon. It could be this week, which would perhaps mean a role at tonight’s Raw or Sunday’s Hell In A Cell.
It would certainly be a big way to debut him, if he turned up during one of the matches at Hell In A Cell. Maybe he could get involved in the Roman Reigns versus Bray Wyatt match, as he’d then represent a good feud for Reigns this winter.
The other, and perhaps more likely option, is to have him debut on Raw. If that happened it would be a much tamer debut and he’d probably just fall into the lower mid-card.

Perusing through fan response to this past week’s episode of Monday Night Raw makes for very interesting reading. Generally speaking, people felt the show was distinctly lacking, and did little to build towards the upcoming Hell In A Cell Pay-Per-View. The lack of really interesting matches or segments was jarring, because whilst Raw has been a mixed bag over the past few months, there’s still been some good points.
In truth, it simply felt like the creative team just wanted to get through this particular broadcast. The entire 3-hour show felt paper-thin in story development, and matches were thrust onto the program randomly. All in all, there were 10 bouts on Monday’s telecast, and only a handful of them felt like they served any purpose.
This article is dedicated to exploring what WWE could do to make the next edition of the flagship show worthwhile. There...
