The story is about marking time in one place.
bodykamotyka2 January 2024
The story started very well, the characters were interesting, but in an instant everything went wrong. The heroine is stupid, Yaman behaves like a child. Only Ates looks good.

A plot that is built on the stupidity of the characters is a bad plot. But still, in those moments when the heroes are not stupid and show their character, it looks very good. Plus the plot also manages to intrigue.

P. S. I don't like to judge a story until it's finished, but all I can say now is that it's going in the right direction. Although the script kills me to pieces at some points, this is a good TV series for housewives.

Sapphire Review
preetysutaria7 February 2024
Starting of the Show is genuinely good but only specially the actor's if you started the show you cannot skip that mostly turkish shows I always lost Interest as they are so long but this one always gives me suprises. Though I was dissapointed but then also I continued to watch beacuse of Ilhan sen he is an great actor.

Atesh is my Favourite character yaman nd feriya sucks most selfish couple ever seen. Atesh deserves happy ending but this yaman nd feriya this idiotic nd selfish couple doesn't deserve anything. Hated the female lead so much she always took adavantage of atesh kindness. Feraye was never thankful to atesh he did so much for her. And this yaman such an insecure narcissist he is this is the first show where u will really like people who are negative to feraye nd yaman becoz feraye yaman r most selfish ungrateful people. Atesh deserves happiness my angel. Makers made atesh the villain in ending episode's but for me villain is feraye and yaman always; I hope ilhan sen do get good projects I felt he is the main lead but script writer sucks they totally wasted the series on this cry couple feryam.

Interesting start but lost its way
mosquitocyn29 September 2023
I have to edit my original review which I made after watching 4 episodes - the early episodes indicated a good plot where you see first passionate touching love happening with 2 young persons but they are torn apart because of unfortunate circumstances which swung out of control because of immature handling and a secret they are keeping from each other. I didn't understand why it should be a secret and if the truth were told, both won't have misunderstanding and they would not break up but well, then we wont have the series either. Because they have to break up, we see another story developing within the family with possibility of the female lead developing a deeper romance with another party. In the midst of all these, there's murder, illegal activities, business and blood rivalry to spice up matters. However, the series went downhill after the first few episodes with repetitive events and hints of not being able to move forward. It sort of got stuck in a boring limbo especially with Yaman and Fereya. I was fast losing interest and patience over the relationship of those 2 and wanted the character of Ates to develop in the story faster. When the story kept dragging itself, I lost my patience and this became one of those very few instances I had to edit my review. I still give it a rating of 5 instead of a poorer rating just because of the first few entertaining episodes. Needless to say, at this point I'm not watching the series anymore.

14 hours of watching - nothing changed
samirmaaa17 October 2023
Sorry, you started this series really good, the plot was good, but than everything went downhill, so many gaps in the plot that you made us believe that the actors have no brains.

1. Feraye and Yaman loved eachother since childhood but absolutely no one saw them being lovers, except Okan 2. Yaman marries Aliena to protect his brother from police, but his brother never feels guilty, but still we have to believe that he is a good character?

3. In 8 episodes, Feraye never asked him why he married Aliena and never questioned why he still runs after her?

4. In 8 episodes, each one lasts 2 h, Ates is so stupid that he wants to marry a girl, but doesn't know the father of the child and doesn't observe Yaman love for her?

5. How can Feraye be the the good female character if she lies about Yaman being the father of the child to Ates? She is a thief and a lier... 6. In 16 h of watching, we never understood the motivation of Ates to marry Feraye. He loves her? We don't know, because nothing happened, or not even a word was spoken, but he desperately wants to marry her.

7. And the most stupid thing, after 7 episodes of hating Yaman without even asking him why he chose to marry Aliena, Feraye makes this scene at the hospital trying to convince us that she loves Yaman so much:))

All this being said, honestly, how olso should you viewers be to believe this is a life story?

Also, I'm sorry for Ozge, the actress that plays Feraye, but she is not talented in acting, she is blunt, only receives, never give, never show more than passive attitude, always expecting her turn to say her line, no charisma, no passion, no voice...after 3 series watched with her in the main role, I can say that she is not capable of acting, unfortunately for her career. I think she is to aware of herself, she doesn't have life experience that she can portray...only a desire to be in the movies...no spirit.

At least, this series has brought to light the acting skills of Burak, Yaman, hoping he will get some main roles in the future, because he can play drama.

Writers, don't ever do that again, writing the script after reading people comments and desire, you saw in the comments that people like Yaman and Feraye, and all you did for 14 h is making them cry over the same mistake, and being stupid not answering questions to each other, and keep the plot in the past, just showing us their memories together, we are not stupid... just learn from older scripts like Kara Sevda, Syaz Beyaz Ask, Hercai, Kuzgun, Calikusu, even Yeni Hayat had a bette plot, but they interrupted it, shame, remember those scripts, they were too good, you cant compete with those, change the stupid modern way of manipulating people psephologically, because in end, the good and smart plots won...

The only sane character Ates
padmaramaniv21 February 2024
It's such a pity that Ates ends up the loser. How did the writers not think of portraying such a wonderful character as the main protagonist? Ilhan sen has portrayed the character 100% and it's a pity he ends up losing his love interests always. He loves Feraye. She asked him to marry her and not a whiff of that anywhere after. She has cheated on him being in marriage with him. What a poor way to show case a woman! Is she so spineless running after Yaman always. It would have been good if Feraye fell in love with Ates' and brought about a change in the family.

Yaman character is very weak. Doesn't he know his brother?

Very sad the writers and director killed the drama which started on a high note.

It should have been Ates' and feraye leading instead of Yaman in the lead.

Very very disappointed.

Going nowhere slowly
yvwzmhr8 February 2024
The other low rated reviews have already expressed my thoughts! I'm so tired of watching

Feraye crying!!! Why is she always crying!!!!!?????? Does she not have a voice, can she not stand up for herself?

And Yaman behaving like a child. What behavior is this? Okan at least has a bit of character. Ates.... Oh Ates... I really like him, but what's the backstory here? He's such a talented actor but this series is insufferable to watch him in.

This toxic romanticism that's being displayed is really annoying to watch. You could have done a lot with this story and characters, yet we keep watching the same thing every week for 2 hours. I can't anymore. I quit.

WASTE OF TIME ! Awful !
anniefcb10 November 2023
I am at ep 10 and I am so done with this "drama". I have never been so annoyed with any other character like the one Feraye. For this 10 episodes which are 2hours long,I didn't saw ANYTHING about Ates character, for example some backstory, why is he like this cold and always wearing black. I really like Ilhan Sen and the way of acting. The whole twist is terrible. You showed us nothing but crying from Feraye. She and Ates doesn't have even a proper conversation... everything is pointless. If Feraye and Ates don't end up together which I expect to happen this means that I waste my time. Gule Gule.

Safir

I haven't been able to sleep for a few days because of this series. I stayed up all night to watch this series until the end. I realized that no matter how difficult the situation is, you can never give up on love. I suggest you watch it. I realized that no matter how difficult the situation is, no matter how many problems there are, and no matter how many bad and opportunistic people exist in your life and steal your happiness and prevent you from reaching your love, they cannot reach their goal because no power can. Destroy a true love and despite all the difficulties you have to fight for love and you should never give up on love.

promoted threats & harassment being ok if it came from your 1st love
Lisa_10919 February 2024
This was an ode to abusive, toxic relationships. It promoted threats & harassment being ok if it came from your 1st love. In the end, it sent a horrible message to young girls & not even flashbacks couldn't cover up.

I would just like to remind you that in the series, the love that the actress praises so much is a toxic relationship in which he: -she harasses and harasses (even when she is pregnant) -he comes on to her at work and attacks her friends -he took nude photos of her without her consent.

It is an insult to all the women who die every day and fight to get out of that toxic cycle. But since the ship's actors support that and see it as love, as does the director, this was going to happen.

I fell in love with the story of Yaman and Feraye, they are an inspiration that love overcomes all difficulties.
cristinescarneiro13 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I fell in love with sapphire because of the chemistry, love and connection of yaman and feraye. This beautiful and pure love since childhood. Despite the difficulties they did not give up on this love! I fell in love with Yaman because he only loved Feraye and he didn't have eyes for another woman. Finally he managed to marry the love of his life and built a beautiful family. I'm in love with this story that serves as an inspiration for us not to give up on love despite people wanting to get in the way, they didn't give up for a minute. I'm in love. Love won, it's beautiful to see. Feryam love.

Intriguing series
tempresident27 September 2023
Rating from 10 to 1 star. Making Ates the bad guy sucks. Done with this series.

Another edit: If the writers are going to make Ates the bad guy, I'm not watching any further. He is the one with the pure heart and what is being done to him by the spoiled brat named Yaman (so irritating the way Feraye, who needs to get her mind checked, says Yamaaaan...ugh), makes Yaman the bad guy in my books. I hope he loses the business to Ates. The writers made a good job of making Yaman the villain. It's now impossible to have pity on him & Feraye.

Edit: To the writers, please let Feraye fall in love with Ates and forget Yaman. A person that can torment someone he supposedly loves is not a man of character. What Yaman feels is not love but obsession...it can't be both. I dislike him now so much, I can't even feel sorry for him. Let Feraye forget Yaman. I really don't want them to end up together.

I just love this series.

The FL (Feraya) is trapped between two brothers. And strangely I can't choose who I want her to be with. There is this one brother (Yaman) with whom she shares a lot of passion, but he breaks her heart when he falls into a trap protecting his brother. The catalyst in throwing everyone's lives into a hell, is the FL's step-mother who threatens Yaman, after she overhears what has happened, to marry her daughter who has been in love with Yaman since childhood. (Feraya is unaware of the trap and thinks Yaman has fallen in love with her step-sister.) She also gets an innocent house worker killed. Yet she has no remorse. She is the real villain in this story.

The story is well written and directed. Excellent actors. Casting done brilliantly.

I can't wait for the next episode and kinda wish I could binge watch all the episodes at once.

Incredible
parwanaakhlaqi3 April 2024
Excellent work!!

Safir was the best love story in recent years. I love the character of the Yaman he was phenomenal very loyal to his love even though he was tested by many woman's even to the woman he married he was tested many times but he had the highest self-esteem and never cheated on his true love. Seriously, it is so hard to find such a loyal men with a decent heart these days, however, this series indicated and proved that there is still such loyalty and love exist and Yaman was just an amazing example of it. His heart was broken into pieces but haven't gone to another woman. It is just too amazingly beautiful strong character. Additionally, the chemistry between the pair Feraye and Yaman was on another level worth to watch it.

End at no end!
bondhup8 April 2024
The series started very well. Storyline looks promising. Great camera angle & stunning visual made this series sublime. But it started to the downhill after the character ates finding the truth about affair of his brother yaman and his wife fereye. Then the series got into the mess.

I give rating 6 to this drama.

1. For the stunning visual.

2. For the cast. Every character played part in safir doing their job quite brilliantly. It's rare to see so many good actor, actress come together & took part in one particular drama specially in Turkish dizi.

3. For the director & his/her team. Camera angle is quite good.

4. For the scenic views of the series. Specially The flying balloon on the sky scene give me goosebumps.

5. For the BGM & the songs that could easily touch many lovable heart.

6. For the character Aleyna & Shermin.

Their comedic acting could easily made you laugh.

I would like to clarify that why I am deducted other 4.

1. For the meaningless rivalry between the character ates & yaman. It was quite understandable that both character had some problem from childhood but nevertheless at the end it's not clear what actually they had.

2. For the complicated character of ates.

It's quite evident that he have lots of sheds in his personality. But still after watching the end I couldn't rectify what should I tell about him. Is he a good guy or a bad one.

3. For the missing time between end of episode 25 to the starting of episode 26. Episode 26 started from 10 months later. Why director choose the complete mess when the drama goes very smoothly that couldn't understandble.

4. So many loopholes. The drama ended in a hurry. What happened to ates & gunes that wasn't clear. Why hazal & okan got break up that also not clear. For what reason masal got engaged in gulsoy company that was not clear although her character was suspicious from the beginning. There are many things missing at the end. If producer cleared everything at one or two more episodes then it would better for viewers for understanding the end.

Although the drama is quite enjoyable.

If you are a fan of mix drama like mixing of love, action, suspense, tense, comedy then you should definitely give safir a better try. Best of luck!

I'm disappointed to have Ilhansen in this dirty project
may-667562 March 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The most chaotic series I have ever seen in my life. It is bad to the core. I expected that it would be something amazing that would make me return to watching the series at every point in my life. I was excited for Ilhansen to appear in it because he is a great actor. The writer ruined the story and the name Burak destroyed my dreams. I will put two stars for Ilhansen's appearance. But the series is not worth it.

I ask you not to work with the person named Burak or the director named Samih, as things have spread that prove that they were the ones who tampered with the story and made it corrupt.

Expectations are not being met
vwinterweiler22 November 2023
It is sad to see that the screenwriters have not developed interesting and enjoyable characters with such good actors as Ilhan Sen and Erkan Bektas.

As this series progresses it loses its charm and interest. Ilhan Sen doesn't actually show his talent and the truth is than none of the actors stand out.

I think that the actress Özge Yagiz has an artificial and unnatural way of being far away from the artistic skills and status of Ilhan Sen and Erkan Bektas.

In general, the scenography and staging is very good. Also the details of the interior spaces, houses and landscapes are very beautiful. It would be important to improve the musical themes giving a sense of more emotion.

Dear viewer: Run dont waste your time. Yaman no one is trying to destroy your love
dina-moh6 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
I have thoroughly enjoyed watching the episodes of Safir TV series. Unlike many viewers, I find myself disinterested in Yaman and Feraya's love story and the constant efforts to undermine their relationship. In my opinion, Yaman is actually the one responsible for its destruction, making him more of a villain than a hero. Ates was right about him all along, and I eagerly watch each episode, hoping that Ates will ultimately find his own happy ending and Feraya will realize that Yaman is not the right person for her. Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that this will happen, as it doesn't align with the typical expectations of a happy ending. This entire situation could have been avoided if Yaman hadn't tried to play the hero and save everyone. The most disappointing aspect of this story is that Yaman made a promise to Ates, vowing to remain like brothers, only to break that promise shortly thereafter. It is worth noting that no one is inherently a hero or a villain from the very beginning. It often takes a villainous act to create a villain.

Update to my review the last episode is the worst thing you can see. If you haven't started watching the series don't run away from this disaster, completely a waste of time.

The female lead character lacks the most basic human principles
Luna-5628219 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The worst character ever written in Turkish series.

She does not respect her family, has no sense of shame, no empathy, no dignity, is proud of herself for being a lover, supports violence against women...

it's actually INSANE to me how they never gave feraye any type of character development, i've never seen anything like this before. 24 / 25 episodes later she remains the samethat toxic relationship is unacceptable in a healthy society.

Atesh was the only deep character, with a story, and yet, they managed to ruin that in the end. Ilhan impeccable from start to finish.

Without a doubt NTC & atv have failed to give a positive social message to the young generation.

worst dont have any story devolepment
vliansx12 December 2023
This story is getting worse and worse and there is no update in each episode.. the development in the story should be accelerated to attract the audience's interest.. not every time only the sweet talk scene between Feraye and Yaman is shown. It is very boring. I am still interested to watch it only because of the scene. Suspense like vural and ates.. the director doesn't need to stick to the ratings and the audience's request if he wants to feryam and that's all given.. you just create a drama with no content in it I was a viewer from outside Turkey at the beginning I was very interested in this story but after 15 episodes it's like I'm watching the same episode over and over again.. why does it need to take more than 15 episodes to show who will be with feraye maybe this story will continue until millions of episodes when the plot of the story is just the same and doesn't change much.. until it changes the writer but it seems to be the same very boring and bad.. I praise only episodes 13 and 14 that show the difference in the whole story and in episode 15 he returns with the same drama between feryam..boooo.

Good premise ruined
tiffanywhite-1744020 February 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Safir started off strong with an interesting story, some good characters and enough secondary stories to keep things interesting. The changing power dynamics between the brothers, Ates and Yaman, could have kept the story moving however the writers seemed to lose their way when the overwhelming focus became the toxic relationship between Yaman and Feraye. Yaman is a case study for red flags, controlling, aggressive and selfish. Feraye would have to be one of the most insipid female characters I've seen in a long time. There are only so many pining looks and montages of the crying couple that a viewer can take. I was not a fan of either Burak or Ozge's acting, the latter looking like she had swallowed a frog for most of her screen time. The rest of the cast was great. Shot on location in Cappadocia, the show is quite pretty to look at. The writers obviously changed the story about halfway through and the untimely end of several key characters so as to focus on Feryam was its ultimate downfall. Such a shame for the rest of the cast.

Beautiful and warming love story
smoudihat20 April 2024
Without any exaggeration, Yaman is one of the most beautiful romantic characters I have seen while watching Turkish series. I am still affected by the sentence "I did not cheat on Feraye even in my thoughts." It will remain one of the most beautiful sentences said in series. Before watching this series, I was tired of male characters with arrogance and high pride towards their beloved, but Yaman is the exact opposite. He doesn't know the meaning of arrogance or pride when it comes to Feraye. He is ready to sacrifice everything in order for them to be together, and without her his life is in vain and meaningless. The surprising thing is that despite all the lies... What is more beautiful than this is that he has loved her since his childhood and swore to marry her, and he didn't rest his mind until he finally married her.... The series presents to us the difference between the loving person, Yaman, and the spiteful, vengeful person, Atesh, so that Atesh was a manipulative, and vengeful person, unlike Yaman, whose love for feraye prevented him from staining his soul....

Series is a hot mess
JTDang5 March 2024
I do not know where to begin. It starts out good and spiral downhill after episode 6. This series insult the viewers intelligence portraying the toxic and abusive love between Yaman and Feraya is ok. What kind of message are you sending? Feraya has got to be the most annoying and dumb female lead I've ever seen. Yaman be a man and stop blaming everyone for your stupidity. Cemile, let's see, a servant threatens a prominent family and they couldn't do anything about it. Hmmm...yeah really..? The only sane character worth sitting thru this awful series was Ates. Too bad the writers got stuck with Yaman and feraya's love story/flashback that they forgot to develop the characters or what the plot is about. No wonder Ilhan Sen (Ates) left as the series is getting nowhere. His talent was wasted in the series. I've seen better Turkish series with great acting skills and script such as Bride of Istanbul or Kis Genesis. Don't waste your time unless you want to watch unrealistic juvenile love story that is stuck in a loop.

AstroKaber11 April 2024
I did not watch the last episode because I know the amount of disgust it carries. I do not like ideal and illogical endings. It's only to please the social media audience who annoy the writer with their trite suggestions. I can't believe I tolerated Ozge's coldness in 25 episodes. What is this?
carr-1071222 April 2024
The beginning of the series was beautiful. What the hell happened? Why do I feel like I'm watching a show from India? What's this exaggeration? I'm one of the people who focus on acting so much because that's what makes me live the story. What's the story of the screaming from the man, Yaman? It's damn annoying to watch, and what's this chaos in the script? I really don't. I understand that the maid hits the heroine and insults her, and I do not see a response from the heroine. How is this? The main female character is very weak, but no, at the beginning of the episodes she was beautiful, so I will turn a blind eye to her. What I liked most about this nonsense is the younger brother with blue eyes and the son of the mafia man, and he manipulates him in order to get revenge. Because of what happened to him in the beginning and being saved by the man who returned from America, this was only good.

They did injustice with ates
According to me the oritagu should be ates and antago yaman because yaman was so full of ego and selfishness and this feraye was so selfish girl she never appreciated ates efforts when be literally treated this selfish girl as a child he care for this girl and what did he get there was not even a single scene of him in last episode like they did not even show us what he was doing in his life his love life with gunes this is total injustice throughout the show only ates suffered he lost his all relations his mother siblings father everything this is clear injustice writer should focus on ates in.
