Mind Blowing

One of the best episodes this season. Full of twists and turns

Jim Caviezel, you are a beauty. The whole episode keeps us on the edge and it kept me wondering what's gonna happen next. As the seasons unfold a lot of things about the MACHINE are disclosed.

Though I'd really want to see the past footage when Nathan dies and from where did Finch got his limping leg and injured spine.

This was helluva episode, as good as the season finale. Just imagining if the penultimate episode left us on a cliffhanger, what's going to be the finale.

Eagerly looking forward to it. Cheers Jonathan Nolan, one great Television series you have made. It just got renewed for 3rd season too (Excited for that)

Hope this one makes up to 8-9 or 10 seasons...just can't seem to get bored of it. kudos guys, thanks for PERSON OF INTEREST.

When did this get so good?

Warning: Spoilers
I mean, there have been good, even a couple of very good, individual episodes before, but this is probably the first time that so many different characters and plotlines are interweaved and the show has finally acquired a sense of purpose. Exciting non-stop from the first seconds to the last. *** out of 4.

"I am not a sociopath, Harold" (dialog)...

"... Believe me, sometimes I wish I was ... the things I have to do would have been so much easier" (dialog)

This review is really about Amy Acker, and in my opinion this series is ALREADY so good that any episode with Acker puts it over the top.

If I am not being clear, that is a GOOD thing.

I understand that Acker had a career in daytime TV before Angel but, as any fan will tell you, it was her work on Angel as a returning Goddess (you had to be there) that really became the breakout.

And this is the odd part. She is not really a full spectrum actress. Meryl Streep does not spend sleepless nights worrying about Acker.

I have watched Amy on countless "Lifetime" specials and she is pretty one-note.

So I have developed a theory.

She can play normal and she can play full-on loony, and that is her range. Pick one.

But when you think about it, that is still a pretty impressive range.

And in this episode especially, she is more fun than a barrel of hammers.

Wow.

One of the best episodes

Warning: Spoilers
That was for sure one of the best episodes on the series. First of all you get many information about the machine and how its "functioning" or may say "thinking". Many questions about Harold pop into your mind while watching.

Who is he really? What was is actual aim in crating the machine and why did his mind change about the "irrelevant people"? What happened to his friend NAthan? IS the machine a "living thing "etc etc. It is a really exciting, escaping show.

the scenario and links between the characters and events are genius. I guess agent Shaw will be permanent in the show. It will be fun to watch Reese and Shaw working together :)

A TV show that is worth to watch:)

Ode to Hitchcock and Cary Grant
ganthonystx18 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Loved this episode. The Thornhill name from North By Northwest; remember in North By Northwest Roger Thornhill (Cary Grant) is mistaken for a man who does not exist. And when John tells the receptionist his name is John Robie, that is a direct reference to Cary Grant''s character of the same name in the Hitchcock classic To Catch a Thief whiçh also starred Grace Kelly.

Digging the addition of Amy Acker. I am so used to seeing her play roles where is is "good.". It's a nice change to see her as a sociopath. I also like how as the series continues the writers/producers are not afraid to move things along in different directions. I am binge watching on Amazon Prime... currently in season 3...and staying up past my bedtime.

Silly unbelievable fun
namstonk27 March 2021
Is Amy Acker and Sarah Shahi believable in their roles, no not even remotely. I'm sure all female killers/assassins wear high heels and clank about stealthily. To be honest the acting is not great either but it is silly fun. Is it all still enjoyable? Pretty much, however repetition is becoming more and more and they need to kill off some of the chaff.

Amy Acker

Amy Acker, god she can't act. Her silly voice and the way she act isn't even remotely menacing, plus the longer you look at her , the uglier she gets.

The Virus
claudio_carvalho27 February 2024
There is a virus in The Machine that is erratic and it has been ten days since it delivered a number. Reese is listening to the police communication and Carter has many dead bodies to investigate. Root discloses her identity to the Special Counsel, shows a gun and tells him that she wants information. Out of the blue, The Machine calls Finch and delivers the name of Ernest Thornhill, who owns twenty million dollars and is buying phone companies. Finch finds that a company called Decima introduced the virus in The Machine that will reboot is twenty hours to fix the problem. Finch and Reese investigate Thornhill's company and believe it is a front for Decima. Finch receives a phone call from Root trying to convince him to join her to defend The Machine from Decima and the virus. When Reese is looking for Thornhill's car hired at the airport, it is attacked by a drone and blow-up. Soon Finch learns that The Machine has created Thornhill, but he does not know why. Reese goes to Thornhill's apartment, where he stumbles upon Shaw, who is hunting down Root. Finch calls the police and meets Root, and she threatens Grace if Finch does not go with her. She tells him that Decima is buying phone companies to become the administrator of The Machine, since it will make a call in a public phone after the reboot. Out of the blue, the police arrive at the apartment and Reese is arrested, while Shaw vanishes. Meanwhile, Carter is questioning about the death of Beecher since she believes HR is the responsible. Terney lures Carter to go to a bust at the house of Beecher's possible killer and she is framed by the HR.

"Zero Day" is a confused episode of "Person of Interest". The plot informs that The Machine will reboot because of the virus, but how Decima and Root knew that information. Further, how do they know that a public phone will call and the person who answers will be the administrator for twenty-four hours. Why Finch made such vulnerability in The Machine? Finch joining the psychopath Root to fix The Machine does not convince. The best part of the show is the poor Carter being framed by the HR and the dirty Terney. My vote is seven.
