A nurse or doctor is intent on administering injectable medication to a patient lying on a hospital bed. In doing so she plunges the syringe right into the side of the IV bag. This would cause the bag to immediately leak through the hole she made in it. In reality, injectable medication is administered through an injection port on the IV tubing so that it goes directly into the patients vein. It is not shot into the bag of IV solution.
