As usual...everything was good...except gloria

Story lines were typical early and mid Modern Family. Fun, easy to watch, not too ridiculous and absurd. Just enough whimsy.

Manny and Luke aren't annoying yet.

I don't care that they had Haley focused on drinking. That is one of the things MF started relying on heavily. Taking something, and focusing and running that into the ground.

Anyway...good all around. Except gloria being annoying as she usually is. Not only the worst part of the show...but in contention for one of the worst characters in any ensemble cast tv show.

Even though phoebe from friends grew on me, for the longest time, i thought the show would have been better if we were able to remove every scene of hers.

Same thing with gloria. Just edit her scenes out.

Modern Family Flip Flop

The house Cameron and Claire worked on together is finally ready to sell but they have a really hard time to sell even with Phil the self proclaimed best house salesman around. The scenes while trying to sell the house to the men were funny because they used Hayley well and up against the adult members Sarah Hyland becomes a better comedic presence that deserves as much acclaim as any of those. The other side to the episode was Gloria being jealous of the potential new mother-in law to Manny even though this new women was jealous of her. The episode saw the return of the dog butler but was also the best use of Gloria in some time who is one of the weakest characters on the show week to week. The episode was fine with funny moments and some moments that I would call cringe worthy.

I've watched and rewatched this show multiple times. I love this show and most of the characters in it. At least in the first couple of seasons. At this time Luke, Manny and Alex haven't gotten super annoying yet, and Lily hasn't shown her bad monotobe acting skills so much yet.

The one thing that destroys every episode for me though is Claire, through every season. Can't think of one character from any tv show I watch regularly that is this terrible. The biggest plot hole of the show is that Phil would give her the time of the day. Why would anyone volontarily spend their life with someone who is constantly about to explode over EVERYTHING, and is a controlling psychotic freak? She brings nothing to the show, and I can guarantee every single episode would be better if she wasn't in it.

She's literally shaking in basically every episode cause she's stressing herself out like the world is gonna explode if something tiny happens that isn't exactly the way she wants it.
