Not as bad as the rating

According to IMDb, this is the worst episode of Community. After watching it, I can't say that's true. It's reminiscent of early season 1 episodes, so if you liked those, you'll like this.

Not that bad.

Seems like this episode has the lowest rate of the series. But the three lines of the story in this episode is the average in season 4.

Whale of a time

Warning: Spoilers
It's trendy for some in the Community community to beat up on season 4 and decry it as "reverse engineering". Anyway, season 4 ain't as bad as history makes it out to be and really any Community is better than none at all really.

Here Jeff and Pierce bond unexpectedly in the same way Jeff bonded with the Dean in the Kiss from a Rose episode in season 3 when Dan Harmon was helming the series.

Warning: Spoilers
Community has been no where near the same since creator Dan Harmon left and just another example of comedy that is OK but no where near the same as before. I will admit that I did like the short scenes of Pierce and Jeff together because it did seem like a callback to sweet moments that can happen which I liked and they did do a good job at making Pierce a character I can watch because usually I hate what they write for him. Then other part of the episode trying to impress the rich guy's son for money was good as well but Troy and Shirley trying Psyhical Education Education (P.E.E.) was the weakest part of the episode. Once again Jeff and Pierce together was nice making the episode better then it could have been.

EPISODE GRADE: B- (MVP: Joel McHale)
